About A.West Marketing
Hi! I’m Amanda West founder of A. West Marketing. I’d like to tell you a little about myself and where my passion for Social Media Marketing developed.
Have you ever worked for a company and enjoyed your job, but there was this one element of your workday that you absolutely loved? That describes me when I began working for a small coffee shop as a barista. I quickly became the manager of the shop because I’m an organized person by nature and tend to land in leadership roles easily. Besides making amazing lattes and managing a team, I also picked up the responsibility of developing and running the Social Media Marketing platforms for this coffee shop.
I loved running the social media platforms. Creating, planning, photography, collecting and analyzing data, and watching the “Followers” total climb. I loved it all. In fact, it was common for me to say to my family, “Gosh, I wish this were a job.”
I quickly discovered, “This is a job!” I began taking classes on Social Media Strategy, Photography, and studying for Facebook and Instagram Marketing Certification. I continued running the social platforms at the coffee shop, but now as their Social Media Strategist.
