FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SUMMER of '86 Continues the Tribute Series with New Single "San Francisco" Releasing August 7
ST. LOUIS, MO — August 6, 2026 — Following the successful launch of "Stryker," recording artist SUMMER of '86 returns this Friday with "San Francisco," the second installment in the ambitious six-release Tribute series from Salvation Studios.
Inspired by the music and memories of classic video games, San Francisco continues the narrative established by Stryker, expanding a project that celebrates the soundtracks and experiences that defined a generation of gamers. Rather than recreating familiar themes, SUMMER of '86 transforms them through original arrangements that blend synthwave, rock, jazz, orchestral elements, and cinematic production into a distinctly modern listening experience.
The six-part rollout includes three standalone singles before culminating in two full-length albums and a companion instrumental release, each building upon the musical journey.
"Stryker was designed to open the door," said Jermaine Bollinger, creator of Summer of '86. "'San Francisco' takes listeners one step farther into the adventure. Every release expands the story while honoring the music that inspired so many of us growing up."
The Tribute series release schedule includes:
July 24 — Stryker
August 7 — San Francisco
September 4 — Cadet
September 25 — Tribute (Volume One)
September 25 — A Tribute to Shatterhand (Instrumental Album by Jermaine Bollinger)
October 30 — Tribute, Vol. II
Listeners who have not yet experienced the first chapter can stream "Stryker" now on Spotify and YouTube before the release of "San Francisco."
