Do you think email is dead?

I wanted to pose this question as I’m sitting here working on an email strategy for a client.

If done correctly, a nurtured email campaign is an effective tool in your arsenal to not only create continued engagement with your customers - giving you the opportunity to humanize your brand and how you can help them.

Focus on making it personal and the value that you can provide to them. This will continue to keep you “top of mind” so when the moment is right, they will come to you, their own personal industry expert.

Remember high school?

When many were trying to be popular or trying to stay popular?

It seems like that all over again with social media.

Time and time again I hear "so and so has ###x of followers" and did you see how many followers that account has?

When we are collaborating with clients one of our early conversations is about this.

Don't get hung up on the numbers.

Would you rather have 1,000 followers that are paying customers and engage with you?

Or 10,000 that might "follow" you, but this is where it ends?

The choice is yours.

But if you do want customers that are meaningful, then be authentic...don't be scared to show them what you are about.

People don't buy from strangers.

Make sure that you're giving them content that they won't soon forget.

Scrolling through your social feed and an interesting title sparks your attention.

Clicking on the piece, you discover that it's not what you thought.

Even worse, you've be tricked into being pushed to "buy" something.

Click bait. You can see through it and guess what?

So can your customers.

Take the time to be authentic.

You owe it to them to write good sh*t.
