25 years ago today, our world changed.

We remember the lives lost.
We remember the families whose lives were forever changed.
We remember the first responders who ran toward danger.
And we remember how, in the days that followed, people reached for one another.

Strangers helped strangers.
Neighbors checked on neighbors.
People listened differently.
They hugged a little longer.
They said “I love you” more often.

For a moment, connection mattered more than division.

That is what relational intelligence reminds us of today.

Our ability to truly see people, listen, understand, care, and build trust is not a soft skill. It is part of what holds us together, especially in the moments that matter most.

Twenty-five years later, may we never forget the lives that were lost.

And may we also never forget how much human connection matters.

𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬?
I love AI. Anyone who knows me knows I do.
I use it, I teach it, and I believe it can be one of the most powerful tools we have when we use it well.

It can help us write faster, organize our thoughts, brainstorm ideas, summarize information, plan projects, and get unstuck when our brain feels like it has 47 tabs open. But I do think there is a question we need to ask ourselves. Are we using AI to support our thinking? Or are we letting it do the thinking for us?

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

If we are not careful, we can slowly stop practicing the skills that made us valuable long before AI showed up.

Discernment.
Creativity.
Critical thinking.
Problem-solving.
Communication.
The ability to read the room.
The ability to hear what is not being said.
The ability to know when something sounds right, but still feels a little off.

AI should not replace your brilliance.
It should help bring it forward.
It should sharpen your thinking, not silence it.
It should make you more effective, not more dependent.

The real power of AI is not using it so you do not have to think.
The real power is using it to think better.
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐐 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞™ 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Because in a world full of automation, your ability to connect, question, understand, discern, and communicate with clarity is still your competitive advantage.

So yes, use AI. Absolutely. Just do not hand over the very skills that make you human.

Labor Day weekend is a wonderful reminder to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy the people and moments that matter most.

Whether you are gathering with family, spending time with friends, traveling, grilling, resting, or simply enjoying a quiet day at home, I hope this weekend gives you a chance to pause and recharge.

Work matters.
Purpose matters.

But so does rest.
So does laughter.
So does time with the people you love.

Wishing you a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled Labor Day weekend.

There are seasons when your own belief is not enough.
When the dream feels heavy.
When fear gets loud.
When quitting starts to make sense.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
Not the polished version.
Not the confident version.
The real you.

And they say,
“Keep going. I see what is in you.”

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞.

They do more than encourage you.
They help you remember who you are.

Dolly Parton had every reason to walk into a room and make it about her.
The voice.
The songs.
The career.
The humor.
The legacy.
The unmistakable presence.

𝑺𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓.

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭.

I had systems.
I had color-coded notes.
I could see three steps ahead.

And honestly?
I thought everyone else just needed to catch up.

Then I realized something uncomfortable.
𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

That was a turning point.
➢ Because leadership is not just about having the answer.
➢ It is not just about moving fast.
➢ It is not just about seeing what needs to happen before everyone else does.
