This is a hard post to write.
For the past 12 years, photography has been such a huge part of my life. It has allowed me to tell stories, connect deeply with people, and preserve moments that matter. I have photographed your families, your babies, your milestones, and so many beautiful seasons of life. 🤍
But after a lot of prayer and seeking the Lord, I’ve decided to step back from my business for a season.
This decision may seem sudden, but it hasn’t been. Honestly, it has been one of the hardest and most emotional decisions I’ve ever made.
There are several reasons for this, but I’ll narrow it down to two.
1. Over the last year, I haven’t felt peace within my business, and I truly felt the Lord leading me to lay photography down for a season. So many things aligned in a way that made me feel confident this was His direction for me.
2. My boys need me fully present in this season, and I truly believe motherhood is where the Lord is calling my heart and attention right now. I prayed for this life, and I want to be faithful to it.
Does this mean forever? I honestly don’t know. Photography will always be a part of me in some way. But for now, I’m choosing to rest, seek the Lord more deeply, and lean fully into the calling of being their mama.
To every person who has ever stood in front of my camera, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your stories and your memories. So many of you became more than clients to me, and I’ll carry that with me always.
Thank you for your support and for seeing me behind the lens.
I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I trust the One who does. 🤍
I won’t be taking any more clients at this time, but I’m happy to refer you to someone who will take wonderful care of you. 🤍
