Rt 611 crack sealing moves to a new stretch Sunday night, and it isn't the only overnight crew out there this week. Tuesday, a second one starts on a road most people won't be watching.

Here's the shift. The crew wraps up its run on the Tannersville and Stroudsburg corridor and heads for Golden Slipper Road to The Crossings in Pocono Township. Sunday through Tuesday nights, 8 PM to 6 AM, expect lane restrictions.

Then Tuesday night, Cherry Valley Road in Hamilton Township gets its own overnight crack sealing, from Old Rt 115 to NE Belmont Pike, running through Thursday.

Daytime drivers, you're covered too. US 209 in Hamilton Township has mastic application Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 3 PM, from the Lehighton Exit to PA 33.

That's three of the 18 projects active in Monroe County this week. The full report is in The Pocono Pulse Dispatch, our free weekly newsletter covering road updates, local business spotlights, Main Street news, and practical info for Monroe County neighbors and business owners.

Some weeks you just need to know before you go. That's what we're here for.

If you're driving PA 611 from Stroudsburg to Tannersville starting at dusk from September 20 – 24 this week, same as last week, here's what's waiting for you.

Nighttime crack sealing, 8 PM to 6 AM, Stroudsburg to the Route 715 intersection. Week two of the same operation. Plan accordingly if you're heading out late.
And that's not the only one on the radar right now.

I-80 has road sign work running both directions Wednesday through Thursday through all of Monroe County – Exit 293 to Exit 310.

Also, a convenient cut off route through King Street in East Stroudsburg will have bridge repairs for the whole week.

Full details including what's happening on Fairview Avenue in Mt. Pocono are in this week's Pocono Pulse Dispatch. Free. Weekly newsletter covering road updates, Main Street news and practical information for our neighbors and business owners.

If you're driving Route 611 past Main Street any night this week – same as last week – here's what's waiting for you.

PennDOT is back on the 611 corridor between Main Street and Route 715 for a second consecutive week of nighttime crack sealing. Sunday through Thursday, 8 PM to 6 AM. Lane restrictions in both directions.

That's the one worth knowing about if you're heading out late in Stroudsburg.
But there's a second story this week.

Tuesday and Wednesday, I-80 has road sign work running from Exit 293 all the way to Exit 310. That is every mile of I-80 through Monroe County, in both directions at night. Plan accordingly.

Also on the radar: concrete patching on I-80 between Exits 299 and 307 runs Sunday through Saturday, 8 PM to 6 AM. Rain will not delay that one. And Fairview Avenue in Mt. Pocono Borough is getting milled and then paved, back to back, September 14 through 18.

Full details are in this week's Pocono Pulse Dispatch. Free weekly newsletter covering road updates, Main Street news, local business spotlights, and practical information for Monroe County neighbors and business owners.

Twenty-five years ago, the New York City skyline changed. So did a field in Shanksville, and the wall of the Pentagon.

For so many who found their way to these mountains, that morning is not history. It is memory. It lives in the quiet of many days. In the way the air feels in September.

The Pocono Mountains hold more than scenery. They hold people. And today, we hold this day with them.

We will never forget. 911 Memorial.

Most people are celebrating the day off today.

Many of the workers Labor Day was made for don't get one.

The Pocono Mountains were built by people who never stopped. Ice harvesters. Logging. Agriculture. Tourism and hospitality.

Generations of hard hands and early mornings that turned this region into something worth celebrating.

That spirit didn't retire. It just showed up for another shift.

To every worker carrying that tradition forward: we see you. Happy Labor Day from The Pocono Pulse.
