If you're a service-based business owner who has been thinking about finally getting your website copy handled, here's exactly what that looks like when we work together.

First you fill out my inquiry form and we get on a discovery call. We'll chat about your business, your dream clients, and what's been feeling off about your website.

If we're a good fit, you get onboarded with a questionnaire that I basically live inside of for a solid week. 😂

Then comes my favorite part, strategy.

Keyword research to figure out what your dream clients are typing into Google when they're looking for someone like you. Brand messaging to nail down your voice, your story, and what makes you the obvious choice. Competitor research to make sure we're positioning you as the clear, distinct option in your market.

Then I write everything laid out in a wireframe, every single piece of copy mapped to exactly where it lives on your page. So you can actually visualize how your website is going to look and feel, and so your web designer has a clean, clear document to work from without any back and forth.

Then I record a full video walkthrough so you're not sitting there reading your copy with a million questions and no one to ask.

Then we'll do a round of revisions to get it just right, because it's your business and your voice and it needs to feel like both.

Then Google Search Console submission so your new pages get found.

That's the whole thing. Strategy, copy, SEO, and a process that's designed to feel easy on your end.

If you're a photographer, hair stylist, esthetician, therapist, wellness pro, or any other kind of service-based business owner who is ready to finally have a website that works, link in bio.

Impressive copy and effective copy are not the same thing, and I think this is one of the most important things I can say as a website copywriter.

Beautiful language that doesn't say anything specific is just filler, and filler doesn't book clients.

Copy that speaks directly to one person's exact situation with their problem, their desire, their specific version of needing what you offer, that's what converts.

The service providers with the most magnetic websites are not necessarily the ones with the most poetic copy. They're the ones whose copy makes the right person feel immediately understood before she's even scrolled past the hero section.

That's the standard I write to for every single client.

Save this one for the next time you're writing about your business and everything sounds good but something still feels off. That feeling is usually telling you the copy is about you when it should be about her.

People think hiring a website copywriter means someone writes some words and sends them over.

Here's what actually happens...

First we get on a strategy call where I basically get to pick your brain: your business, your dream clients,
and what makes you different from everyone else doing what you do.

Then I go full nerd mode.

Keyword research — figuring out exactly what your people are typing into Google
when they're looking for someone like you.

Brand messaging — your voice, your vibe, and the specific words that make
someone feel like you just completely get them.

Then I write the copy, laid out in a wireframe so your web designer knows
exactly what goes where on every single page.

Finally, I submit everything to Google Search Console so your new
pages actually get found.

It's a whole thing. A very fun, very strategic, & very word-nerdy thing.

I absolutely love every single second of it. 🤍

If you've been curious about what the process looks like, now you know.

If you're a hair stylist, esthetician, massage therapist, fitness instructor, therapist, photographer, or any other in-person service provider, the SEO advice that fills your feed was probably not written for you.

Following it without adapting it to your specific business model is one of the main reasons local service businesses feel like SEO isn't working.

Local SEO is its own strategy. It's about showing up in your city, your neighborhood, and your specific market for the exact searches your dream clients are making when they're ready to book someone like you.

The good news is so much more achievable than broad national SEO. You're not competing with the whole internet. You're competing with the other businesses in your area, and most of them are not doing this strategically.

Save this one for when you're ready to build it, and if you'd rather have someone handle the strategy and the copy for you, that's exactly what I do. Link in bio.

Somewhere between booking out May and drinking an unreasonable amount of coffee, April has been really good!

On the work front I got to write website copy for a therapist, do preliminary research for a PR agency and an interior designer, and dive into SEO strategy for local in-person service businesses like dental offices, roofing companies, and contractors, which was such a fun and different challenge. Every month looks completely different and I genuinely love that about this work.

On the personal front though, April really delivered.

My best girl Mabry turned 11. 🐾

She has been my ride or die through college, every big life change, and everything in between. Eleven years of the best company I could ask for.

We looked at a few places to move and fell in love with one, fingers so crossed it all works out. I have already added approximately one thousand things to a cart to decorate a place I don't even technically have yet. 😂

I read five books. Yes, my TBR list remains completely out of control and I have zero plans to slow down.

We got our current place deep cleaned which, if you have never done this, please do it immediately. It is genuinely life changing.

This business still surprises me sometimes. The projects I get to work on, the people I get to work with, the fact that I built something I genuinely love showing up for every single day.

If you're building something too, in whatever season you're in right now, I hope it's feeling good!

This is what a full website copy project looks like!

Brand voice, home page copy, service page strategy, SEO keywords, meta descriptions, and URL slugs.

All of it built together as one intentional system, not stitched together after the fact.

This is Wellspring Financial, a bookkeeping and financial advisory company serving small business owners who want to understand their numbers and make confident decisions with them.

Before we worked together, their website had never brought in a single lead.

Now they're ranking on the first page of Google for multiple keywords and have a website that finally sounds like the warm, trustworthy, heart-led team they actually are.

That's the whole point, copy that sounds like you and gets found by the right people.

If you're a service-based business owner who wants both, my inquiry form is linked in my bio.

If your website is giving beautiful but hasn't booked a single dream client this month energy, this one is for you.

These are genuinely the three things I come across on almost every website I work on.

They are so common and so fixable and there is truly zero reason to be embarrassed about any of them.

Drop a 🙋‍♀️ if one of these is you! I'd love to hear which one hit hardest.

If you've been feeling a little burnt out by the pressure to post constantly, I have a little something for you!

I'm not here to tell you social media doesn't matter, because it totally does, but I also think a lot of service providers are working so much harder than they need to because their website isn't helping them book more of their dream clients.

When your website is built on strong copy and a solid SEO strategy, it works for you consistently, whether you posted a Reel this week or not. That kind of stability changes how content creation feels entirely.

Save this one for the next time you feel guilty about missing a post, and then maybe take a peek at your website copy instead.

If you've been sitting on the idea of finally getting your website copy handled...

I know how it goes. You keep telling yourself you'll do it when things slow down, when the timing is better, and when you feel more ready.

But truly, there's never a perfect time. There's just the time you decide to stop letting your website stop keeping clients from you and start allowing it to help you book more dream clients.

The people in these screenshots were exactly where you are before we worked together.

Now their websites are ranking on Google, attracting the right clients, and sounding exactly like them.

If you're ready, or even just almost ready, my inquiry form is linked in my bio to chat.

Occupying approximately 100% of my brain at all times as a copywriter...

The home page that opens with welcome to my website 😭

The services page with no CTA anywhere on it.

Where do I go?? What do I do??

The beautiful, perfectly designed website with zero keywords on any page. Google has no idea it exists.

The about page written entirely in third person. "Sarah is a photographer who…" Sarah, babe, talk to me directly.

(Also, sorry to any photographers named Sarah. I swear this isn't about you!)

The copy that sounds like it was written for a Fortune 500 company but it's a one-woman photography business.

I say all of this with so much love because every single one of these is fixable and none of them
make you a bad business owner, they just mean your website needs some attention.

If any of these made you cringe a little, my inquiry form is linked in my bio. 💜
