About Us

We are 3D Connected Printing. Based out of Chevy Chase, Maryland our company was founded on the ideals of accessibility, affordability, and communication. We wanted to create a "Pro-sumer" (professional + consumer) business, in which we would develop, make, and sell products in our home, while continuing to buy other things like everyone else. Our journey started in (date) when we purchased a Prusa 10” i3v 3D printer kit. After assembling the kit, we learned the complexities of taking a file from the digital realm to the physical. By reaching out to local organizations and making new contacts we began to expand our knowledge, adding additional expertise to our company via new members. Through attending trade fairs on the East coast, we were able to commence setting up a fleet of printers all while constantly keeping up to date on industry news to make sure we had competitive printing capabilities. Shortly after grounding ourselves in the industry, we began marketing our fleet’s services through on-demand services such as 3Dhubs.

Printing custom orders from these outlets allowed us to learn the complexities of CAD (computer aided design) in conjunction with the material science of plastics. After running custom prints for a period, we began to design our own products that we planned to one day sell. Thus, it was that in October of 2017 that we launched our Etsy store to begin marketing our custom designed products. Our product line ranges from holiday decorative objects to inspired fan products from popular media franchises. Past selling our products on Etsy, you can find our products at various craft fairs in the Virginia, Maryland, and general Washington, D.C. area.

One of our favorite product development methods is when a customer approaches us with a custom order. This process has helped us create some of our most popular products with the help of customers who are able to describe how they expect the product to function. If you have a product idea that you wish for us to create, we would love to hear from you.
