How to Write Content for a Website (With Examples!)

Your customers are having a conversation in their head, and the businesses that win are the ones who know how to listen.

“Write how you talk” is probably the most common copywriting advice you’ll hear when learning how to write content for a website. And it’s not wrong.

Most business owners write way too formally on their websites. They use corporate speak that makes people’s eyes glaze over instead of just talking like a human being.

The advice works because it cuts through the stiffness. When you write conversationally, you’re more approachable. You build connection. You sound like someone people actually want to work with instead of some faceless corporation.

Write Better Blog Posts in 7 Simple Steps

“The deck’s peeling. It makes our house look old,” my husband said.

He painted it just last year. Just paint. Nothing else.

“I have to do it again. It’ll take a few hours, but I don’t want to have to do it every year.”

He power washed, sanded, painted and sealed it.

“Wow. It looks brand new. It was worth it,” he said, gratified.

7 Best Color Palettes for Therapy Websites in 2023 (+ Examples)

Your website is an extension of your therapeutic space. The colors you use? They’re not just there to look pretty. They’re evoking emotion in your website visitors, shaping their feelings about your brand, even before they read a single word.

Using Color Psychology To Evoke Emotion
This is the incredible power of color psychology. A calming blue or a grounding earth tone can speak volumes, fostering feelings of trust, stability, and incorporating accent colors can highlight important areas, guiding the visitors’ journey throughout your therapy website.

So, while we all love a good aesthetic, choosing a color palette for your therapy website is so much more than just picking out your favorite shades. It’s about creating an atmosphere, aligning with your brand, and most importantly, meeting the emotional needs and expectations of your audience.

In this blog post, we’re going to highlight seven websites that absolutely nailed it with their color choices. Full disclosure – a few of them happen to be designs from yours truly. So in no particular order, here are 7 of our favorite therapy website color palettes. Read More...

Our Story

We not only make dazzling websites for your small business, we do it painlessly, without the confusing tech jargon or hidden fees.

We’re Andy & Kristie Parker, the owners of Bungalow Web Design but we haven’t always been web designers. For 15 years we were in the fitness industry. We started a small gym and built it into a large one.

When we started out we were a small company and we knew every one of our customers personally. It felt like a big group of friends.

As the business grew our job shifted to managing staff and operations, putting us behind the scenes. We missed the close relationships we used to have with our clients.
