Hello everyone! Long time no post, I know. Pandemic's been hard, housing insecurity has been hard, equipment upgrades have taken time, overcoming social anxiety and existential dread (still working that out.)
Buuuut, February 2022 has been a good one for maskless outings, good food, stand up comedy, live music and getting out there making happy by taking photos.

I'm here, would love to know if you've got some photo needs I can help with this Spring! Below, I have pictures of Thursday sushi night at Four Corners Restaurant & Sky Bar, live music from Little Giant and Birds of Play, an incredible night with Telluride Aids Benefit Fasion Show, and hilarious sketch comedy from Hannah Pilkes at the Telluride Comedy Festival.

Hey friends! Need an inspiring landscape in your life? Might I recommend this 20"x 30" photo canvas wrap of Mount Wilson surrounded by a kaleidoscope of foliage? This photograph was made by a Colorado local (Me, Sarah Schwab) who reverently seeks nature's beauty in our wonderful state.
Those who have shopped canvas prints before know $280 for this large of a fine art print is a deal! I also have a 24x16 photo canvas wrap of this same image for $210... I will post an image as the crop is a little tighter.
This image is one I've seen in my heart long before it happened in October of 2018. I've always wanted to frame a beloved mountain in a spectrum of transitioning leaves... More prints to come!

I’m a bit mopey today because I didn’t attain a goal of making it down to Guatemala to share in the joy of a major gathering... the first ever Coffee Quality Summit in San Pedro Yepocapa, Guatemala. Presentations by Anacafe, roasters from abroad, local farming cooperatives and more! So proud of La Cooperativa San Pedrana, and Jorge Sujuy , Don Julio Xia, Don Timoteo Charuc, , Yepocapa Coffee Wave3 Studio... so many people... knowing our footage and time in Guatemala contributed to promote incentives in education and quality to benefit farmers helps with the FOMO buuuuuut still I’d like to experience this event and see the pride in the faces of those who worked hard to cultivate, process, roast and steep those beautiful beans. If you’re in Guatemala you should make your way there- Feb 1-2nd 1-6pm in the Nacimiento.

I’m still processing what just happened. My workshop Building a Portrait just barely ran, but thanks to these three, Bria, Rick and Tess, signing up in the nick of time... we got to experience each other and our mutual passions for connection and story telling. These images were made in class to illustrate concepts of portrait making, made quickly...They aren’t complex set ups, but the people are, and is it weird to confess... I love them dearly already?! Last image is made by . Sorry my students, I didn’t apply the Jewel level retouching yet, too beautiful to change...:)

I am flying high about the fact that next mon-weds, I get to teach a workshop in the most beautiful Colorado town about ways to build a meaningful portrait. (Link in bio if you can join! I’m ready to ask ourselves some ?? Like, what makes an image that transcends time? tells a story? Preserves history or changes a mind? Comment if you have an opinion on this.
