8k rpm…something we will not see again. Vtech was virtually a meme in the early aughts, Vtech yo. It’s credible engineering that is pretty much in any performance-related engine today. Having the cam profile ‘change’ during high revs for more power allowed for the high-rpm fun.

0 to 60 in 7.6, and 15.76 quarter-mile isn’t bad, since not long ago that was V8 performance terriotry/ But the Civic wasn’t meant to be a straight-line drag car… though they sure can be made into one

Agree or disagree?

In 2001, this car was - $29, 205. Adjusted for inflation, it would sell for $55,071.87. 

Hard pass. The 1999 - 20202 Ford Mustang Cobra just seems like a lame duck. Not a huge amount of power or performance from the GT, and looks-wise there really isn’t much to differentiate it either. 

The later 2003 - 2004 Terminator Cobra really made a Cobra Mustang special again after the SN95 generation.

If I’m getting a higher-performance Mustang, I want it to look the part.

Yes, Mustang owners do go crazy for the front bumper and taillights.

However, fresh from the factory, the non-supercharged Mustang Cobra looks like any other V6 on the lot.

Doesn’t help that the 2004 Mustang V6 later got the same hood.

The IRS was an upgrade, but it was a modified version of what came in the last-generation MN12 Thunderbird. Ford really was Frankenstein-ing the Fox-body-based chassis to remain competitive at the end. These cars still rode too high and were very flexible. Subframe connectors are a must to actually have both ends of the car feel like they’re communicating.

So I guess the IRS rides better? There’s a plus?
