Facebook Marketplace Cars - 1995 Nissan 240SX S14

I miss the days when these were affordable…and complete cars. These red flags should be obvious, but let’s break them down anyway

* Not running; needs a tow- so it has a good-running K24, but needs to be towed. Already suspicious
* Tags are back - How much are they back? Who knows, could be $1K+ in back tags
* Needs new driver door panel- inside, outside? Funny how they don’t show that

Ford the 1996 Ford Mustang V6,

Chassis flex and understeer, the Mustang combo. The V6 did not get a rear sway bar, and with its nose-heavy design, these plow in turns. As for flexing, this generation Mustang needs subframe connectors. My Roush has them; it’s like a whole different car.

This is why I actively avoid modified cars on Facebook marketplace. I modify cars; I drive them hard…and it’s likely the owners of modified cars do as well. 

Here is what I am seeing

* Misspelling: Mega Racing….Single Exist exhaust. 
* Welded diff: for a dedicated track/drift car, that’s a cheap way to lock up the wheels. But it’s not needed for delivering Domino’s

Cons:  yes, all the above weren’t in the con section..so I guess they are pros?
* Needs lower control arms. Great, so this was probably a takeover car, and smacked a few curbs
* Oil change- as in it need an oil change? You can throw that parts list on this poor G35…but can’t do an oil change.
* Is the power steering broken, leaking…gross?

All this for $4000…. Need to say more on how much of a pile this is???

1996 Ford Mustang V6 performance…or lack there of.

You do feel the 215 ft pounds of touqe. I’ve had a 4 cylinder fox…and the V6 atleast felt like it had sme power down low. It wouldnt rev out at all though.

10.1 seconds. Personal story: my first Mustang was a V6. it was faster than the hand-me-down car I had before. I felt like I was hot s**t. …but i remember feeling my heart sink when I realized that, at best, it did 0 to 60 in that range. As a dumb 18 year old…the was proably a good thing

* Crackle tune video: Well…that engine has led a hard life, followed up by
* Engine swap: I’m not against having a swapped engine, but who knows how many miles the 
rest of the car has, and how hard they were.
* New head gasket: Wait….is that a new head gasket on the replacement engine? Yiiiikes. An at-home mechanic can do a head gasket…but I wouldn’t trust this guy’s work

The lesson here is: buy the stockist car possible.

I love the interior of the 1990 Mazda Miata. Nice simple buttons and k***s. No screens, easy to read and classic guages. No pretense of ‘luxury,’ just simple and practical.
