Okay y’all 😌🤎so last year the ppl went a lil feral when I shared that me & my hubby celebrate BOTH our proposal anniversary AND our wedding anniversary. Whew. The opinions were opinion-ing. 😂

But listen… it didn’t stop a thing 💅🏽 because we celebrated again this year 7 years since the proposal and six married on 8•8•20 and Hubs surprised me with a night at . First time going and babaaay….the music, the energy, the intimacy, all of it. We laughed, we ate, we connected, we had a GOOD time. Period. I’ll be back for that Tango Bolognese = perfection !!

Here’s why the proposal anniversary matters to us. 💍That moment was the yes before the vows. The decision before the commitment. The season where we chose each other with intention, hope, and faith. Celebrating it reminds us why we started, not just how far we’ve come. It keeps us grounded, soft with each other, and locked in when life gets loud.

Marriage is beautiful, but it’s also maintenance. Celebrating milestones like this helps us stay intact, emotionally connected, and appreciative of the love we’re building, not just surviving. If you’re a couple, married or not, don’t wait for the “big” dates only. Celebrate the moments that shaped your yes. They matter more than people realize.
