YouTube wasn't originally designed to become the world's largest video platform.

In fact, its founders initially envisioned it as a website where people could upload videos to help introduce themselves and connect with others. almost like a video-based dating site.

That idea never really took off.

Then, on April 23, 2005, YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim uploaded a simple 19-second video titled "Me at the zoo."

Just a man standing in front of elephants. About as boring as it gets.

That ordinary clip became the first step toward a platform that now reaches billions of people around the world and has changed entertainment, education, journalism, and business forever.

Sometimes, the biggest ideas don't start with a perfect plan. They evolve into something much bigger.

Some photographs don't just capture history. They become part of it.

On February 23, 1945, Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal captured this image as U.S. Marines raised the American flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Within days, the photograph appeared in newspapers around the world. It became a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and determination during World War II.

Its impact extended far beyond the battlefield.

It won the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for Photography.

It inspired the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.

It helped drive a massive U.S. war bond campaign that raised billions of dollars to support the war effort.

Most people remember Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr. as two of baseball's greatest players.

The "Big Unit" towering over the mound, and Junior with that picture perfect swing.

What many don't know is that after retiring, both found a passion behind the camera.

Randy Johnson founded RJ51 Photos and photographs everything from professional sports, to concerts and wildlife.

Ken Griffey Jr. has become a credentialed sports photographer, covering major events including The Masters.

It just goes to show that drive and creativity can take you anywhere, even after a Hall of Fame career.

UPDATE & A QUESTION: Hi, everyone! Video updates are below, but I have a question for Toronto. How can we continue to serve?

Our purpose has always been to highlight our community, but due to recent events, we find ourselves a bit…purposeless. This page still has value. This space has come too far to disappear, or to pivot away. So, if you have any ideas, I’m all ears.

I am not talking business ideas, just looking for ways to put our abilities to use.

For our remaining videos, I have a wedding video that will be done Wednesday or Thursday, and a long student video that will be completed by Monday. After that, there are 5 short student videos that will done soon after.

Thank you, everyone for being patient. June has been eventful to say the least.
