I’ve been doing websites for years and I had no idea equestrians needed websites!! Now clients are reaching out and asking if I can help them too.

My first passion was horses when I was a kid. I trained my first horse at 9 years old!!!! I did barrels and western pleasure - gained numerous trophies and ribbons.

But then life got the best of me, and I walked away from horses knowing I would be back someday. I had no idea it would be with website design 😅

Every client you have, came from somebody you know. Word of mouth, a show, a referral from another trainer. And they went online and searched your name or program….

They either only found your Facebook or nothing at all!!!

Which means the people who found you cold, looked, and moved on - are invisible to you. There’s no missed call log for the person who decided not to call.
That’s not a reflection of your program. It’s a reflection of what they could see of it!!

But even the big horse is intrigued!!! He got the same bath, the same braid job, and the same walk down the alley. It’s not the size of your horse, but the work you put into it - that’s what gets noticed.

Nobody in this industry decides what your program is worth by the size of your barn. They decide by how it shows up.

Same with your website. A four-horse operation with a real site outsells a twenty-horse one with a website link every time, because the buyer can actually see what you’ve got.

Show up like you belong and people treat you like you do!!

This is what most people never see. This equine vet is 40 minutes into a foot he’s been working on, and his phone has gone off four times.

I asked him how people find him. He said “word of mouth, mostly.”

That’s the whole problem. He’s one of the good ones. He shows up at 2am, he explains things twice if you need it, he’ll stand in a wet aisle for an hour to get a foot right. And a horse owner who just moved to the area, whose gelding is off in the hind end at 9pm on a Sunday, has no way to know he exists.

Somebody’s word of mouth eventually runs out of mouths.

So we’re building him a real website. Somewhere people can find him, see who he is, and know exactly what to do when something goes wrong at a bad hour. Not a brochure. A front door.

If you’ve got a vet, a farrier, or a trainer you’d recommend to anybody, go tell them out loud today. It matters more than a review ever will.

And if you’re the one everybody swears by and nobody can find, that’s the exact problem I fix. Tell me your practice name in the comments and I’ll take a look at what you’ve got.

Every horse person who has hired a designer has had the conversation. Explaining what a futurity is. Explaining why the pedigree matters. Explaining that no, you can’t just put “horses for sale” on the page.

You end up doing the strategy yourself and paying someone to make it pretty.

I build websites for performance programs and you won’t have to teach me any of it. Pedigrees, earnings, sale video, stud pages. I know what goes where and why.
