Yesterday we celebrated The Feast of Pentecost. Growing up in the church of Christ as I did, the Day of Pentecost was a big deal. If you're a Christian, it should be a big deal. I'm glad it was emphasized as much as it was. Being Orthodox now, it means even more to me. One of the reasons I am Orthodox is because I believe in the unbroken line that goes back from today to Pentecost. I believe in the faithfulness of God to preserve and sustain the Church. So, celebrating Pentecost, to me, means not only celebrating the start of the Church, it means celebrating the faithfulness of God in faithfully sustaining it for over 2,000 years.

Also, yesterday, I got to watch friends come into the Church. So, that was special as well. It was a good day.

Buddy and Cecelia Palmer have been on the periphery of my life for as long as I remember. We have family connection through their grandson, Hayden. I consider Jason and Anne to be good friends. But as far as Buddy and Cecelia, well, I'd never spoken much to them before, not on a personal level at least. And that is one of the reason I love doing Legacy Films. It gives me the opportunity to sit down and get to know people. It was a wonderful conversation. I learned a lot about them, I learned a lot about their family and I got to create something pretty cool for them to have. I'm really grateful for opportunities like this.
