Hey, y’all!

Over the summer, I took time to explore different avenues of photography. Although I am still invested in sports photography, I’ve broadened my scope to gain more experience and provide a larger variety of photography services.

That being said, I have decided to rebrand (yes, again) to something that felt more fitting and less restrictive.

Again, this doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from sports photography. However, I recognize U-Town Sports Photography does not match up with the spectrum of my work.

I feel optimistic about this change. I hope you do, too! I look forward to expanding my skills and capturing more special moments.

The Hometown Lens represents my work at the core. When I first started this page, I wanted to focus on sharing the goodness in and around my community. That still holds true, but I’ve since chosen to focus on camera work rather than writing.

In the design I created (WITHOUT AI, mind you), I incorporated the mapping for Grant County, my hometown. The place I will forever call home. There is beauty all around us. I see it in the southwest Kansas sunsets. I see it through my lens during every session.

Meet Issac | UHS Senior 2027

This young man has been through the trenches to stand tall in his Tiger uniform.
Although it’s not my story to tell, I’m thankful to have had it shared with me during his session.
It is evident Issac and his family are an unbreakable unit with beautiful bonds.

Last night’s senior session was unique in the best way.

Issac went with the flow and incorporated the most important piece of his puzzle — family.

Although we raced against the sunset, it seemed as though time stood still for each shot.

Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your senior year, Issac. I wish the best for you and your future!

Meet Zoë | LHS Class of 2027

There was something so effortlessly beautiful about this photography session with Zoë. She was a natural from the very beginning, and as the sun began to set over the bridge, everything came together to create the most dreamy, painting-like golden-hour glow.

After venturing around the Mighty Samson, We traveled to the Baker Arts Center in Liberal. If you haven’t visited before, I highly recommend checking it out! Such a visionary gem for southwest Kansas.

Zoë, you were an absolute joy to photograph, and I’m so excited to share a little glimpse of your senior session! 🤍
