🙄Lets be REEL ….

Who is overwhelmed with the idea of REEL’s ?
If you answered yes… you are not the only one, do not feel overwhelmed with this new feature, but before I dive into my tips on using REELS let’s talk about this new fonts

IG didn’t play they just threw in new fonts w/ effects – Im super happy w/ this feature but lets refrain from using them ALL on 1 post.
Limiting to 2 will avoid distraction from your overall message to your audience. Also, lets not forget that we have a brand identity we must keep up with so if you don’t use them it is A- OK

🎞Now REELS, ok so I have had the experinece w/ TIK TOK – not a major TIK TOK expert but I know the basics that get me through 1 published post.


🎞Filters: You have to load a filter every time you add an increment of footage. This to me is quite annoying because you have to manually add the filter every time. Now if you are a creative this is pretty neat as it provides the abiity to create a theatrical video.

🎞 Font, Gifs & Geo Locations: You can load these as you would on InstaStory however refrain from adding stickers, font and locations to the bottom left hand corrner as the caption & music tite will take up this space.

🎞 Reels to Feed: Reels can be published to your audience’s feed (toggle on), if you have a color pallete or theme/aesthetics you wish to keep up with but want more views on your Reel simply remove them Reel from your Grid (I leave my REEL for about 24 hrs or before my next schedueld post whicih ever come first)

🎞Speed: Slow it Down or Speed it Up. Nothing complicated.

🎞 Hashtags You can add this to your captiona s you would on a normal feed post. Not mandatory (obvs) but recommended

🎞 Previously recorded footage: You can load videos from your camera roll. I find this very helpful because I want to enjoy quality time w/ friends and family IRL so I record as much footage as I possibly can then create my REEL after.

🎞 Drafts: You can create a draft, this is how you can shoot a specific idea that requires multipe days or weeks- depending on the video, to shoot.

Last but not least JUST HAVE FUN… Gosh IDK why we put this pressure on us to be SOOO PERFECT-

Do an A/B testing on 2 campaigns w/ 2 different tag lines as the subject line and see if there is a difference, I can almost guarantee that a tag line such as “CLICK HERE FOR A FREEBIE” won’t get a higher click rate than those examples I provided above. Why? Because these are PLAYED OUT, they already know it’s just another PROMO. Make your emails as if it is your customers diary. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Reasons why you shouldn’t DIY branding:

💕Using fonts that are VERY common – How does this set you apart from the rest?
💕Logos- Utilizing logos that are ready for use with CANVA, PicMonkey etc. Someone out there is using the very same logo only changed the colors
💕Color Pallet- You don’t know what colors are paired beautifully or let alone using the same color family
💕Content- Content becomes very repetitive. You limit your horizons to the amount of content you CAN post
💕Overall it just looks very DIY – it is very obvious

Becoming a social media strategist required time, effort and patience to create your own content- because we too have to build our brand presence just like any small business product owner. 74 FEET daily WOAH we scroll quite a few feet!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If your a content creator (such as myself) it does take a unique mind to even come up with just ONE unique post. It takes me about 45 mins alone for the image itself - this doesn’t count for caption creation, but what I find helpful when I’m at a roadblock are the following tips:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Take a break from looking at competitors and I say break because we have to keep tabs on our competitors for weaknesses and opportunities.
2️⃣ Journal, Meditate or any self dumping techniques - because we might have some personal blockage that doesn’t allow us to create.
3️⃣ Stay away from the external issues in society but don’t be tone deaf.
4️⃣ Turn your device off for an hour or do not disturb mode.
5️⃣ Watch a movie, sing, dance or anything fun that lets you be FREE

Do you even know who your customer is? And don’t say “females who work and want to buy things because they want to feel beautiful” - this is WAY TO VAGUE there are many brands out there that also wish the same, but how are you any different? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you don’t know them well then you won’t get any engagement on your insights. Why because you don’t know what your ICA ‘s interest, fears, pain points and itches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The moment you are able to tap into your ICA is when you start to see the engagement metrics increase. Don’t know who they are start digging 🕳 a little deeper because if you create content that resonates with them that is when they find ANY interest in you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
