Each of us has had someone exceptionally close to us whose passing has put them on our hearts and minds foevever.

'Big E' - Eric - was a lifelong friend of Viking Mike and many others in our home state of Missouri. Eric died unexpectedly last October during what was supposed to be a brief hospital stay, and our friend circle was deeply impacted, and still is.

Another dear friend, Brad, had the idea to make a tribute to Big E on a receiver hitch cover for his truck. What a fantastic way to literally 'take' him with you, every day!

A photo of Brad's truck, six photos to choose from for the design (the one we used is included here), and a favorite phrase of Big E's - 'Good Times!' - all served to create this engraved image in stainless steel, with red Cerakote accents.

E, we'll never quite belive you're gone, and we'll certainly never 'get over' it. But, what a happy reunion we'll all have in The Great Hereafter, where glasses will clink and 'good times' will be in full force, once more, and forever.

We love you, Pal.

Our clients brought us this amazing R***r 10/22 that already had a factory-produced, patriotic end-to-end "America's 250th" engraving on it, so were were puzzled about what our hand in this was going to be ... until they flipped it over to the 'blank' side, ha!

A beloved son and brother's company logo was what was asked to be engraved, to make it even more special.

Happiest of birthdays, Clint! May you and your R***r have many a fun adventure together!

When engraving through a coating - like the bluing here - and the client does not intend to get Cerakote as well, we are super-careful to make sure that the result is as chiseled-looking and perfect as it would be for the more typical engraved-then-sandblasted-then-Cerakoted project. This takes a lot of thought and technique development.

The interior of the letters also have a beautiful 'frosted' sheen in the sunlight, too, even after the addition of protective oil.

Mr. JP was thrilled with this gift our client presented him with, we hear!

Who's next, who's next?! 😉

We absolutely love doing what we do! Thank you to each of you!

Many of you will recall our great friend Wayne's beautiful piece here - he wanted the polymer parts Cerakoted to have a high-end 'woodgrain' effect, so we did our damnedest to make it look like a Rolls Royce or Bentley glove box or what-not, ha!

Well, there was a big gap between that first post, and when Wayne brought over the barrel and a few other parts to complete it all, so ... here she is, fully-assembled at long last, with the Cerakote 'antique brass' effect now complete, too, on all aluminum and steel components end to end!

(P.S. Our two Great Pyranees, Banjo and Betty, insisted on being part of the photo shoot!)

If you wish to retain us for design work, we'll put anything you want on things even as humble as a drink koozie, ha!

Our great friend Brad asked us to come up with some artwork for 'advertising specialty'-type giveaways for his clients.

Our great friend and colleague and one of the best people we know, Steve Brown of Kountry Boyz F!rearms in Green Cove Springs, asked us to just do something simple with his solid black PX-9 Carry, using his Kountry Boyz design elements as part of it. We added some barbed wire, too, and inverted the cowboy so that he'd be dark-complected with a white beard, like Steve!

The Cerakote 'antiqued metal' look is one of our specialties here!

Another fun one!

Alan at Daddy's never fails to have excellent creative ideas for tricking-out his own stash of Big Boy Toys, and this project was no different!

Today, we present Part II of his tribute to the bombs and bombers that brought an end to World War II.

You may recall Alan originally had us do a r!fle that featured 'Fat Man' stencils + a graphic tally of all the bombs dropped, on the side, just like the real bombers of the day (see the first two photos)!

Well, today we add a tribute to the Enola Gay, the B-29 that dropped 'Little Boy' on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945 ... 'Fat Man' was the second and final one, dropped on Nagasaki three days later, as we all know.

This one is more subdued in its colors to specifically work in nighttime hunting settings. The design features the 'Flying Tigers'-style shark face, sheet metal rivets, 'all the little details' color accents in the small parts, and an engraved grip that even shows the moment the bomber drops Little Boy on one side, with clouds above!

Lastly, a really fun element was Alan's request to have his name engraved using the band Metallica's font for part of it, ha!

We all love the glorious feats of our military and the fighters who made them happen - let us work-up a tribute of your design, too!

'Pimp My Propeller!'
.. a little sumpin'-sumpin' from the R & D lab!

So, if you see us taking the bass boat for a spin on a weekday sometime soon, don't tattle - it's 'research', y'hear?!

(Better yet, we'd rather see YOU with a design and boat-matching color scheme of your own choosing! Message Mike at the page here to arrange it.)
