✨ 3 things you need to know about social media....
Do you ever wonder where to start, or what to focus on? Social media is everchanging and it's hard to keep up. So here are just a few of my top 3 tips when it comes to social media...
1. Follower count does not matter. Would you rather have 10k followers, with 1% engaged, actually caring about your business & what you do or 1k followers with 90% engaging? It's so much more important to have a true follower count that truly cares about your business, what you offer & wants to learn more from you then 10k followers with 3 likes per post, because that just goes to show that the follower count is not truly engaged and interested in a business. Don't buy followers. Be you, be real & your follower count will grow organically.
2. Writing engaging captions will help you convert your following. Start with something that captivates your audience, like "3 thing you need to know about social media...." It's important to give your audience a reason to read your post, give them background info on your post and provide them with a call to action (CTA), like click my link in bio to purchase today or bookmark this post for later, etc!
3. Write your hashtags in the caption, not the comments. In the past, I would tell my clients that either caption or comments is fine for hasthags but this is NEW! Instagram expanded their search capabilites became more SEO friendly and they recently announced that "For a post to be found in search, put keywords and hashtags in the caption, not the comments." 👉 So it's a good idea to use relevant keywords along with hashtags in the caption of your instagram post. Don't stress if you haven't been putting your hashtags in the caption, as they still will have increased your reach and do work but going forward, it's recommended to put them in the caption.
