Tomorrow’s vote is not about Republicans or Democrats. It is about whether Virginia keeps a stable, citizen led redistricting process with safeguards approved by voters, or opens the door for politicians in Richmond to redraw the rules for their own advantage. Voting No protects an independent process, keeps redistricting tied to the census as intended, and prevents mid decade map manipulation that could put political self interest ahead of voter representation.
Some signs say “Stop the MAGA Grab,” but that framing has caused confusion and, for some voters, may be misleading. A No vote is not a vote for MAGA. It is a vote to preserve the voter approved process Virginians already adopted, rather than allowing politicians of either party to change the rules midstream. Critics of the amendment argue the proposed change could dramatically alter representation, potentially shifting Virginia’s delegation from 6 to 5 to 10 to 1, which is part of why many voters see this as a process and fairness question, not a partisan slogan war.
Whatever your party, this is about preserving fairness, predictability, and keeping power with the people, not the politicians. A No vote is a vote to protect voter trust, uphold a stable process, and reject being swayed by political branding that may obscure what is actually on the ballot.
