it’s tough out here for a gangsta (a creative entrepreneur LOL) but i honestly, truly, deep in my belly believe that our go go juice will always be a little dash of weirdness and a heaping helping of joy.

tomorrow, i’m yapping with Audrey | Cadence Consulting Co. 💫 as part of her summer speaker series, talking all about prioritizing joy and whimsy as a creative in an increasingly robot-y AI world, how i got a wild hair up my ass and randomly launched a course as a result, how we can all stay creatively inspired even when things feel doom + gloom, and how i lost 25 lbs in an hour thanks to an emergency surgery that changed the game. this session is interactive, so think more ‘round table coffee chat’ than lecture!

BUILD A BRAND: PART 2!

once strategy is locked, (thanks to our brand frequency framework, YEEE!) we can shimmy on over to creative direction and design. from mood board to hand drawn design elements, logos and colors, the visual identity for Why We Are is looking clean, elevated, and ethereal — even if my artboards are NOTTT hehe!

lots of soft gradients, editorial vibes, and calming muted colors in this one and i loveeee how it turned out. typically, i’m a bold + playful design girlie, but i told yaaaaa i can execute clean and crisp, intentional design too! 🤭

LOLLL i know this *SASSfirmation* sounds kinda mean, but i swear its a mindset thing and not an insult.

its a reminder that you aren't for everyone. not everyone will "get" you. not everyone will cheer you on. not everyone will appreciate or understand or want to get to know you. not everyone will agree with you or empathize with you. you can have the purest intentions, and a heart of gold, and someone out there will still think you're 'meh.' but honestly? LET EM.

because some people don't deserve your gifts. some people cloud your energy. some people take up space in your head and they don't even pay rent up there. no one can take away your magic or dictate your worth. thats all you baby. and if they don't like it? dont look. move along lil doggie 🤠👋🏽😎

JUNE + JULY WHERE DID U GO

we've been a little lost in the sauce, but honestly i'm along for the ride! we've had tons of cool projects lately, VIP days, repeat clients, a successful course launch, an ongoing teamwork collab with one of our biz besties (Chateau Marigold!!!) a trip to the 1500's as a tavern w***h, and a bunch of exciting BTS stuff in the works!!

august goals — to NOTTTT overload my schedule and leave a s**t ton of room for FUNNNN which means we've only got a few VIP day spots open, and our next spots for branding + web start in september!!

a reminder that saying "let me just try something real quick" and then doing a totally random, silly, fun thing with no expectations aside from "whats the worst that could happen??" is both a form of self care and practice in creativity. i endorse it tbh. free will, free weird, free whimsy, baby LFG!
