Today is National Dog Day, and we would be remiss if we let it pass without acknowledging our unofficial mascot Ella (the title of official company mascot belongs to the office cats).

Ella is a beeeeeeeefy hundred pound Bernese puppy with the energy and personality to match her size. The sign industry is stressful, but it never gets this girl down, she's always eager to help pick out colors or offer up her feedback on our designs.

Happy National Dog Day Ella.

Had a couple interesting projects come through the office this week - a monopole billboard structure and a big steel truss scoreboard topper.

The scoreboard topper in particular was a fun one. Our client originally designed and sold a large custom-shaped backlit flexface cabinet to sit on top of the scoreboard, but ran into supply chain delays with the necessary cabinet extrusion and they weren't going to be able to deliver in time for the home opener. So they tasked us with coming up with a plan B that could be fabricated quickly without requiring any special ordered components. 👍

We've been working on this exterior signage package for a winery down in Napa. Really digging that embossed honeycomb background texture.

We don't just create pretty presentation drawings to help you sell more signs - we also create functonal shop drawings to help you build those signs more efficiently, consistenly, and profitably.

For this fun project, we were given conceptual architectural renderings for almost 50 very intricate and custom signs, and were tasked with determining how to fabricate them and then crafting production-ready shop drawings to ensure the finished product exceeded the end client's expectations.

Renderings showing how a lighted sign will look at night are critical to the sales and manufacturing process. We spend a lot of time making sure these are an accurate representation of the proposed final product so there are no unpleasant surprises when the customer flips the switch for the first time.
