So I took the time today to watch a live stream, the church in Hattiesburg put together a talking specifically about how we as the church can capitalize on the opportunity to go live with our church environment...
One of the biggest things that they said, and something that I’ve been trying to figure out how to put in the words was this quote “There’s a big difference from having a video posted online and having church online!” ..
I believe this one point is the key to understanding how we are going to be able to still deliver God’s word to those who need to hear it even in this crazy time that we are living. Yes, you can record great services, post them to your preferred platform for your people to watch and some of them will watch it, but the problem is you never actively engaged those people...
One thing that I’ve heard preached at us for many years is that people don’t come back to a church for the pastor, the worship team, or for great Sunday school classes. No, the reason that people show up on a weekly basis is because of the relationships and interactions that they have with other people. ..
So my question is why are we ok with just uploading a video?..
One thing that Venture Church Production Team said today, which is something that I’ve been saying to people over the last week, is that interaction matters. Whether you’re utilizing mediums of Facebook, Instagram, or the church online platform, having a live chat function to minister to your people is key. Surprisingly, it’s also FREE!..
So Pastors if you’re struggling to figure out how to actively engage your people, stop what you’re doing. Send me a direct message. And let’s get on the phone today. There’s so many people in the world right now who are hurting and desperately need the message that God has put on your heart. ..
Don’t just post a video to say you did church. Create an environment where life changing can happen.
