That may sound a little harsh, but hear me out. 😊
As business owners, we’re proud of our businesses. We want people to know how long we’ve been around, what services we offer, what makes us different, and all the things we’ve worked hard to build.
But your potential customers are usually thinking about something completely different.
They’re thinking, “Can you help me?”
That’s why some of the best advertising isn’t focused on the business at all. It’s focused on the customer. What problem do they have? What do they need? How can your product or service make their life easier or better?
The next time you create an ad, social media post, or even a page on your website, look at it from your customer’s point of view.
Instead of asking, “What do I want to tell them about my business?” try asking, “What does my customer need to hear?”
That small change in perspective can make a big difference in your marketing.
And yes, I promise your customers can still love your business. 😉 They just need to know what’s in it for them first.
