❶ Previously, Facebook would not approve ads with images that included over 20% text on them. That’s officially changing. Facebook released a statement telling users that as of Sept 7th those restrictions will be going away. At CAMM Media, we’ve seen ads with less than 20% text generally perform better; however, this is great news for advertisers that would like the option to include more words in their ad creative.
❷ We’re officially seeing the first rounds of updates on Instagram Reels and it’s very exciting. Reels previously were not allowed to be over 15-seconds, but Instagram has now increased that limit to 30-seconds. Additional updates include new self-timer, trimming, and deletion options.
❸ LinkedIn got an update and added Stories like its social media counterparts. Adding Stories to LinkedIn creates a more personal aspect to the “professional” network. This update will be slowly rolling out across the U.S. in the next week.
❹ Facebook has launches “Facebook Business Suite,” making it easier for small companies to manage their Facebook and Instagram presence from a single platform. This implementation allows users to save time managing their accounts, stay up-to-date on messages and comments, and view insights easily.
