Earlier this year, Lake Tahoe Christian Fellowship approached us with an idea to roll out a new name and brand identity after celebrating its 50th anniversary as a church community in South Lake Tahoe, California. The church would be renamed MountainHouse, and they needed a new logo and visual identity to complement the change.

The natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe landscape inspired a color system that embodies the clear blue water and surrounding forests, native plants and stunning sunsets.

The logo was designed to reflect the topography of the area which inspired the new name, and the MH initials are hidden in plain sight. The primary font is a nod to the region’s history as a premier ski destination, and gives the logo a friendly and timeless appearance.

With an angled roof representing the company's commitment to excellence, we chose the sleekness of a chiseled colonial man to symbolize trust and reliability. Lastly, stars, stripes, and pillars were added to signify patriotism and a solid foundation.
