I wanted to officially share my first ever passion project! Introducing Lummi Sunscreen. This sunscreen was designed with every woman in mind. It allows you to protect and nourish your skin while you fall in love with the outdoors again. I've been trying to find the right words or way to share how I feel about all of this. So naturally I went to my creative side to express my thoughts and feelings. I find it appalling that there are people out there that don't understand what this movement is about. Black Lives Matter isn't looking for special treatment like I've heard some people say. They aren't saying we no longer need the police. And they aren't trying to spread hate and violence. Even George Floyd's brother wants to stop the burning down of stores and communities. They want the protests to be peaceful. They are trying to make sure that they get the basic rights we should all have. They shouldn't be afraid of dying every time a cop stops them on the street. They want equality and they want cops to do better. I know not all cops are corrupt; trust me, I personally know cops that are wonderful and do their jobs like they are supposed to. But there are way too many corrupt cops out there and we cannot just sit around and let them keep using their badge as an excuse to do whatever they want. We just need to do better as a whole. And for those that are being silent or saying they don't understand, that is further spreading the problem. I want the violence to stop from both the protesters and cops. But I do hope and believe in my heart that this movement will bring about the change we need.

This was another favorite of mine during the Daily Logo Challenge. I had to make a flame logo so I turned it into a logo for a restaurant. I chose the cursive, italic font because I wanted it to speak elegance and actually look like the word "sizzle" was sizzling on a stove. I chose a black background because I felt it gave the logo depth and further showed elegance. I chose gray for the type because I felt like it resembled smoke.

I joined the Daily Logo Challenge and this was one of my favorite ones I created. I wanted it to be simple, sleek, and creative. After researching how other coffee shop logos look, I didn't see a lot with this mug design so I wanted to go with something a little different. I made the coffee bean look like it was being dunked into the cup and turning into the coffee you see and I also wanted the coffee bean to be a focal point. I chose red because I wanted to grab your attention and I wanted it to show love; like the love that goes into every cup of coffee. I put a gradient on top of the red to soften the red color and make it tamer.

Rosario Marte wanted a logo for her new in-home daycare service. I wanted to showcase the love she offers inside her home so I wanted the heart to be behind the house; meaning this home is backed by love. I wanted to have bright colors that portray youth and I wanted two little kids excited to be at the daycare.

This is the cover art I came up with for my podcast with my former coworkers. Tea Time With The BLADE Crew wanted something fun that tied in with pop culture so I went with pop art. I took each of our photos separately and cartooned them using Photoshop. I then put everything on top of the red background. For depth I decided to have a soft gradient on top of the red background. I then took it to Illustrator to make sure it is scalable.

Jonathan Bermudez asked for a logo that took his photography business to new heights. He wanted simple but elegant and creative. I went with the gold because he wanted his logo to make him look like Midas - everything he takes a picture of turns to gold. I went with cursive font because it matched the font he uses on his Instagram page. He also wanted a simple camera so I went with the outline of a standard camera.

I really enjoyed playing with separating an image from its background and then changing the background to black and white. I saw her red uniform and I knew I wanted that to stand out. I also saw the blue on the lining of the soccer ball and I wanted that to be the focal point. So I made that blue her glow and the text as well.
