Most of the people who comment on your posts are not your buyers.

They’re often other business owners or competitors.

They comment to be seen or to add their opinion.

Your real prospects don’t do that.

They watch quietly.
They read your posts.
They click your profile.
They look at your website.

They are trying to decide one thing:
“Can I trust this person?”

This is why the metrics most businesses track don’t tell you much.

Followers, likes, comments, shares, and views don’t build a business on their own.

None of that matters if people aren’t reaching out to talk to you.

The only metric that matters is simple:

They fail for one of two reasons: lack of cash flow, or lack of effective marketing.

So many business owners that I know tend to downgrade the importance of marketing and they underestimate the difficulty of doing it effectively.

The sad thing is about 50% of them won’t be here five years from now because they weren’t willing to get help.

I know what it’s like to feel like you have to wear all the hats and do all the things.

In reality, that’s impossible .

I have an advanced degree in business and have worked in business for most of my adult life and yet, the process of starting a business made me realize that while I know what to do, often times I don’t know how to do it.

I had to admit that I didn’t know everything - and got a business coach and joined a business development group…

and I’ve learned that hiring people to help me with the areas that I just don’t know doesn’t make me dumb.

If you want your business to be around in five years, you need to figure out your marketing and you need to figure out your cash flow.
