The secret is understanding your body shape.

One of the biggest mistakes I see women make is believing certain pieces just “aren’t for them.”

Take this outfit for example. Traditionally, you might not pair a peplum-style top with barrel pants. On paper, it sounds like too much volume.

But here’s why it works…

The structured sleeves create balance through the shoulders, the cinched waist highlights my natural hourglass shape, and the soft drape of the barrel pants continues that curve instead of fighting it.

It’s not about following trends - it’s about understanding how each piece works with your body shape.

And don’t overlook the shoes. 👡

When you’re wearing a top and bottom with extra volume, a minimal n**e shoe helps streamline the look instead of adding more visual weight. Whether it’s a flat or a heel, keeping it simple allows the outfit to feel balanced and intentional. Notice how adding some height to the outfit however, makes it look a little polished. 😉

This is exactly why I spend so much time teaching body shape. Because once you understand why something works, getting dressed becomes so much easier—and shopping gets a lot less frustrating.

Today’s closet edit was a reminder that most people don’t need more clothes—they need the right clothes.

We focused on:
- Identifying wardrobe gaps
- Finding the best fit for her body type
- Creating outfits from pieces she already owned
- Organizing her closet for easier mornings
- Building a clear summer style plan

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a client feel confident and excited about getting dressed again!
