While some found the Super Bowl a bit slow, I believe it clearly demonstrated who the best team was this past year. Of course, the commercials are always a highlight as well.
Given that creative work is what we do, I wanted to share my take. I was disappointed by the poorly executed AI and bad CGI used in several spots. If a brand is going to invest in a Super Bowl slot, the quality should be high and the content memorable.
I generally prefer ads that evoke a lasting emotion. While funny ads are great, they often fail if the audience can’t remember the brand behind them.
It was good to see Budweiser back in the spotlight with a solid ad, and I found the "Tight End" spot to be both funny and creative. However, my favorite was the Redfin commercial. It successfully combined emotion with well-executed shots to tell a compelling story while keeping the brand front and center.
