From creative to conversations, the way people shop (and advertise) is transforming. There are things you can do NOW to get your website and PPC ad campaigns ready. When a client decides to take over their own website and redesign it on a new platform, this is what can (and did) happen. This site's traffic went from hundreds of daily impressions with dozens of clicks to nearly zero, crushing the click-through rate and position. Without impressions, organic traffic drops. It is sad to have lost years of work, but even sadder to know what this could mean for the business. If you want to redesign your site, don't do it yourself unless you know what you're doing.

A person I have worked with for over 17 years passed away this week. I considered her not just someone I worked for, but a dear friend. The entire Florida Urban Forestry Council will grieve her passing. My thoughts are foremost with her children and grandkids. I'm also heartbroken for the Council who has lost a great director. She was a believer in Jesus, and I know she is now in heaven; no longer suffering from cancer, chemo, pain, or sickness. How thankful and blessed I am for the businesses, organizations & individuals I've had long-term working relationships with! This one, however, will be greatly missed.

WordPress 5.0 was released today. For those of you using this content management system for your website, be sure to update your theme and plugins first (if there are updates available). Make a backup of your database. Then upgrade to 5.0. If the new block-based editor throws you for a loop, you can always install the Classic Editor plugin and edit your website as you have in the past. However, you need to get familiar with the new editing tools. Eventually, the Classic Editor will be phased out. If you need help with your site, Sinclair Design Studio will be happy to assist.
