Year 17 is in the books! Since 2009, Wendi has had the privilege of emceeing the Texans Caring for Texans Awards Ceremony, recognizing individuals who go above and beyond in service to others. This week, Representative John Smithee, Dr. Walter Wendler, Don Nicholson, and 62 other deserving honorees were recognized for their outstanding contributions and commitment to the great State of Texas. Congratulations!

As a member of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Wendi recently had the opportunity to tour Ben E. Keith, and the experience was nothing short of impressive.

Walking through the massive distribution center, seeing row after row of products, towering warehouse operations, and the logistics required to keep everything moving was a powerful reminder of the scale of this company. Ben E. Keith serves customers across multiple states and is one of the largest foodservice distributors in the nation, moving an incredible volume of products every day. Companies like Ben E. Keith are a driving force behind our local economy, providing quality jobs, investing in our community, and helping put Amarillo on the map as a hub for business and distribution.

Thank you to the Ben E. Keith team for the hospitality and for giving our Chamber Board an inside look at one of Amarillo's most impressive success stories.

We had a very special visitor stop by the office -- Mr. Paul Borchardt, one of our biggest champions over the years.

A little fun history: early in Wendi’s journalism career, she found herself in front of the camera as an entertainment reporter, going live every Thursday from Wonderland Park. With a wireless mic in hand, she quite literally held on tight—broadcasting live as Paul flipped and spun her through the rides every week. 🎢

Then, when Double U Marketing launched, Paul and Paula put their full faith in the agency, welcoming Wendi and her team as part of the Wonderland family for the next 15 years.

Although Wonderland’s ownership changed this year, one thing remains the same — the tried and true friendships we’ve built along the way. We’re so very grateful for Paul and Paula, then and now. 💚
