Hello Everyone! Thanks for visiting my page!
I wanted to start off by first saying WELCOME!
Secondly, I wanted to introduce myself a little bit.
My name is Kristin. I grew up in Cali but I now call Idaho my Idahome :)
I am married to my husband and I have a 4 ½ year old son and a 18 month old daughter. They sure give me a workout but they equally melt my heart in so many ways so I guess it all works out.
I love expressing my creativity in various forms like painting, embroidery, writing songs, etc. I love music! There is something special about listening to songs that take you somewhere basically out of this world; transcending you to another place, time, or memory. I think the Disney Pixar Movie Soul encapsulated this artistic description of mine both beautifully and majestically. I recognize that might sound a little cheesy and or dramatic but hey, I’m just being authentic to who I am.
I love all things that scream vintage anywhere from the the early 1900’s to 1950’s! If I could I would live in tulle skirts, pinafore dresses and overalls but instead I’m rocking the mom sweater/ 90’s collared shirt and jeans that sometimes don’t fit me. Postpartum life; Am I right?
Now if you asked me to describe some of my favorite things about myself a year ago I would just sit there quietly filled with a little anxiety and sadness not knowing what to say. I had been dealing with Post-Partum Depression for over two years at the moment and I was stuck financially. I felt almost hopeless about life and I doubted who I was and my worth.
I wanted something to CHANGE.
I knew something needed to CHANGE.
In fact, if I am being honest I prayed often that something would CHANGE.
I wasn't working anymore and, with my husband going to school full-time and working full time it was hard on our marriage. I felt depleted at home with a baby and a busy toddler and he felt depleted working all day and then coming home to study and work some more.
I understood his struggle and concern and I knew helping him financially would take a load off his shoulders. However, I mentally felt that going out and getting a job would rob me of the time I mentally needed with my children. I didn't want to feel any less of a mother. Working until I was pregnant with my daughter made me feel less like a mom and more like a babysitter mostly because my son was very attached to his father and barely attached to me.
I tried to apply to remote jobs and I even tried DoorDash. DoorDash is good and exciting and very flexible but the money wasn't consistent. As my schedule and the weather got a little crazy at times the money became less reliable. The remote jobs were still not flexible enough with my schedule when my baby girl needed tending to and my toddler son was bouncing off the walls. So I was in a predicament. I simply didn't have enough time in my life to do what I felt I needed to do. What I really needed in my life was help from someone else. When I use the time that I had to help myself as much as I could, I know that everything would fall into place. I just needed to ask and take that first step.
The day I took the first step towards believing in myself and deciding to change my life is a day I will never forget. Other than tears streaming down my face it was a hard thing to describe. The only word I can use to describe how I felt is ELEVATED.
ELEVATED? Really?
YES.
When I decided to invest in myself and change my circumstances, I decided to elevate myself. Something I had never been able to do before. Something I did not see was possible because I was drowning in my own weight and thoughts of hopelessness.
Here is a pondering thought:
How could you feel ELEVATED?
I’ll start by answering it myself.
I feel ELEVATED when I decide to go to bed early instead of deciding to stay up and stress about my life not changing and the house being dirty even though my kids are happily sleeping and it was a good day. By choosing to sleep I will have more energy to potentially elevate myself or some else tomorrow
I feel ELEVATED when my daughter says another word that I haven't heard before as she is learning and saying new words each day. Besides the excited look on her face, she gives me as I congratulate her; I am just glad I can be at home to witness these amazing moments with her.
I feel ELEVATED when my son decides to give me a kissing attack while telling me that he loves me so much. Simply because there was a time that I was worried he would never say that to me.
I feel ELEVATED when someone is there for me and validates me when I share my stresses and worries from the day. By lifting the weight off my shoulders I am able to feel more ELEVATED.
I feel ELEVATED when I decide to try something new, challenging, and inspiring that I can do at home that will provide a sustainable income. I feel elevated to someone new when I no longer allow my life, my marriage, and my mind to be burdened by financial stress.
I know the burdens of life are heavy. Feeling alone and maybe even unheard at times is crushing. As I am feeling elevated and continuing to find more ways I can be ELEVATED, my goal is to help you feel and become ELEVATED yourself.
I want you to become ELEVATED so that you can no longer doubt your worth.
No more wondering when this life will get any better.
No more wondering if there will ever be a day when there is no stress about money.
I am here to tell you that I can help. I know the stress and sadness that comes from struggling (emotionally, mentally, financially, etc) and feeling like it is relentless and there are no answers to solve it. There seems to be nowhere to turn to because help just seems like something that isn't in your cards. I know how to ease that financial burden and elevate you into the entrepreneur and strong individual you were designed to be.
I would love to get to know you and figure out how as your friend I can help.
When do you feel elevated?
If that's something you are struggling with, what will help you feel elevated?
