Brandhrt was founded to help companies take control of their digital marketing, starting with the design of effective, consumer-centric strategy. We looked at the market and found this to be an important need! Brands, that want to grow, need a solid digital presence, guided by a strategy that elevates the Human factor. We know that the vast majority of consumers go online at some point during thei

r purchase journey, and they expect brands to have a relevant digital presence. Yet, a good proportion of businesses is not confident in their digital marketing. Because of this, many businesses turn to digital tactics that they believe their customers want, rather than implementing a strategy that is informed by a critical examination of their customer's needs. We help companies resolve this tension with strategic planning that fits within the context of their business reality. Then we help them bring that strategy to life, with informed targeting, meaningful content and experiences, and the right placements. We caught our client, Maddgear Tiggs Thomas owner of Madd Gear, sharing praise about our services to her network of followers.

MaddGear is an amazing 20-year brick & morter business, owned by a dynamic and savvy husband/wife team. Though experiencing year over year in-store growth and success, their online presence and performance were lacking.

After one year of working with MaddGear the BE team enhanced the back and front end of their Shopify site, established an eComm photography and merchandising process that systematically keep their digital page merchandised with new items, and implemented quarterly lifestyle shoots and integrated marketing/media placements to keep their look fresh and brand in front of potential shoppers.

In less than a year, MaddGear saw an increase in online revenue of 200%+ and a significant return on investment.

They both left their corporate gigs to start individual agencies, and just happen to connect again, by chance, on LinkedIn. We’ve been asked by many Online Retailers, “How do I get my products to show up as ads across websites?”

While answering that one question could be an entire video in itself, there is definitely one tip we’d like to share. That is the following:

**If you are an online retailer, you should be investing in Google Shopping. When you consistently use this Artificial Intelligence technology it gains insights about your visitors and uses those insights to continuously strengthen your targeting/retargeting efforts.**

But, before you jump on the band wagon, to be effective, keep in mind the following:

1. Well-shot high-resolution imagery is a must. With Google’s new rules in place, sites with poor imagery will be demoted or not shown at all on its shopping ads platform.

2. Optimized shopping feed, with descriptions, GTIN/MPN, and google identifiers in place.

3. Site designed with transparency for the shopper. Shoppers should know how to shop your site, how to pay, how to return, how to obtain a refund, etc.

4. Google Merchant account, fully set up.

Keep in mind, Google does not play with its rules and will completely block your ads if you break the rules; Sometimes, even ban you depending on the violation. However, once you know the rules, it’s worth getting out there. Why? Because google shopping ads are search-driven (people are looking for the stuff you're selling), and its display network is vast.

Culture. Mental Health. Team Love.
This Holiday Lunch snapshot was the last picture we took as a team in 2019 (minus me, the founder and photographer). Honoring the importance of responsible downtime is a really important part of the BrandHrt culture. Marketing and advertising can feel like an always-on, non-stop industry. This team rises to the occasion in delivering for clients day in and out because we LOVE what we do and whom we do it for. As a BrandHrt leader, it is important that this team’s talent and passion are not quelched due to burnout. That is why I was honored to ‘officially’ shutdown the weeks of Christmas and New Year's Day. While this shutdown period is an important mental health and sustainability move for BrandHrt, it doesn’t mean that client work should suffer. We ensure our clients' projects are still cared for during this time, with good planning, clear expectation setting, and shared on-call availability as needed.

My thoughts are this: We break at the end of the year to rest our minds so that we are refreshed and ready to partner with exuberance in the New Year.

Thanksgiving is generally thought of as a time for family, a time to gather around the table and spend time enjoying a great meal with those you
love.

At BrandHrt, we extend that celebration to our work family. We are
planning a mini potluck where each of us will contribute a favorite food to the
feast. It could be grandma's cookies, the most comforting homemade soup,
or the best take out on the block. It's just a chance for our team to share a
little something we are thankful for.
