Can I kick it…?

I’m back ya’ll. I’ve kept my head down working the last couple of years finishing my masters, hence why I haven’t posted in some time.

I wanted to share an exciting project that I had the privilege to work on. Being a kid of the 90s these shirt designs reflect the art, typography and hip hop from that time in history. I wanted to create designs with phrases that inspire and uplift our community and reflect our rich cultural heritage.

The proceeds from the sale of these shirts go to support African American Student Affairs at the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona BookStores is where you can find them in-person or online.

As I reflect and celebrate the significance of this day, it's not without pain and sadness that I do so. But I continue to persevere and remain hopeful that the future will bring one of deep racial reconciliation in this country. At least I'm working towards that end for my family and I hope you will too. Happy Juneteenth! 🖤 💚 ❤️

This coral color (which happens to the Patone color from 2019) is the perfect contrast to this photo. Using pastel colors in this way along with monotone photography especially photography that is high contrast in lights and darks, is a great way to bring excitement to any creative project.

It's that time of year to decide on the next color that you'll see in the new year. Blue has always been my favorite color and you will be seeing more of it in 2020.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Tucson Juneteenth Festival at the TCC. I enjoyed meeting locals and people from different parts of the country.
This year was especially remarkable because of the Black History 101 Mobile Museum that was on display. Powerful images and artifacts that showed the truth of our history and painful past.
Today, many things have changed, but many things are still broken. I have a hope for the future and will continue to press forward to create and educate.
