I'm gonna be a big girl. I'm going to start recording myself and putting myself in reels.
If you're new here, I'm Lisa French. I’m a long-time graphic designer and artist. I’m obsessed with brand design, packaging and product development. I am an artist, specializing in acrylic painting, murals, drawing and illustration. I teach virtually and locally at our town Arts Center.
I love to sew. I love to crochet. I love cooking and baking. I enjoy gardening. I’m a bit of a perfectionist in my own way with a lot of creative skills I like to tap into.
I am obsessed with creating. I can’t sit still.
I started this business when I had my second child. It’s been a fruitful and freeing venture. I love how clients become friends and being there for them when I’m needed. I especially love cheering my clients on and following along in their victories while they grow.
The transition from corporate Art Director to business owner has been relatively seamless, thanks to social media, good connections, good friends, and entrepreneurship on the rise.
Veterans of Art Departments like myself as resilient. We have spent many years meeting tight deadlines, needing to pivot on a concept or project at a moments notice, needing to create on-the-spot like an improv performer. Those of us that have lived this life and started our own businesses end up being the lynchpin in your business. Corporate and enterprise experience, when you need it.
So, let’s dial in on why hiring a remote designer is amazing for your business model.
Hiring a remote or hybrid designer like myself gives you access to talent when you need it and reduces overhead costs. No insurance, no paid leave, just hard work when you need extra support or a life jacket.
Remote work has reshaped how we think about talent and collaboration. Hiring an experienced, remote graphic designer who is also domestic combines the cost savings of remote work with the seamless collaboration of a local hire.
