A wonderful article in this morning's Huffington Post by 92 year old author Babette Hughes about the big lie we've been told about aging.

Ask anyone if they'd like to go back to their youth and most will emphatically say no -- some will actually shudder. And no wonder. It's a time of career worries, relationship worries, money worries, kid worries. A time with no idea of who we are or ...

Well, you just had to be there. My 92 year old author client was interviewed by AARP Radio this afternoon. An important interview. No advance notice of the questions. The interviewer was in DC and she was at K*T here in Austin. And, in spite of the degree of difficulty, she never missed a beat. Not sure when it will air, but this interview was something to watch from the control room. Twenty five minutes that passed in what seemed like seconds. Oh, did I say she is 92? Remarkable.

It has been quite a year for 92 year old novelist Babette Hughes. She has signed a book deal with Post Hill Press for her Kate Brady trilogy. She has optioned the first book in the trilogy, The Hat, for film. And, she is hard at work on a fourth novel. The Hat will publish on April 28th, followed by The Red Scarf in May, and The Necklace in June. Gritty crime novels that follow the protagonist, Kate Brady, from 18 to 80. Babette is living proof that we can do whatever we put our mind to, and age shouldn't be a factor. Encouraging....

Need potential clients to have an epiphany and fall in love with your idea, product, or company?

People need three things to have an epiphany, three ingredients that must be present, in my opinion, to get them to change something or to act. They need information, they need dialogue, and they need time to digest and process what they're hearing.

Another reminder that I am not in charge. I wrote a song about 20 years ago called Guardian. I recorded a nice demo of it but never put it on any of my few recordings. Then, recently I played it for author James S Parker, who has penned a terrific novel called 'Relic of Darkness', that publishes this month. Amazingly, my song written 20 years ago fit the mood of his book, and followed the story line to a tee. Crazy. The keyboard part you hear in the beginning is played by Randy Holsapple, and the answering part on the chorus is Skip Purvis. I always felt very blessed to get to play music with people of this caliber. A huge blessing. Please enjoy the book trailer for 'Relic of Darkness' with 'Guardian' as the soundtrack....

Nonagenarian author Babette Hughes' third installment of her stunning essay about breast cancer just posted on Huffington Post.

No one knows exactly if your cancer will kill you sooner, or later, or not at all. There is the often broken five-year test of time, there are statistics and prognoses and studies, there are oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, and social workers; there are articles in the New York Times and the New...

Well, this just keeps getting better and better. The Huffington Post just picked up Roger Wright's Forbes article about finding work. Just amazing....

The premise of a new book by Chicago career coach and management training consultant Roger Wright: there is plenty of work out there, but not necessarily a lot of jobs with benefits and a steady paycheck. The book, released in Feb., is called Finding Work When There are No Jobs.
