There are many website building platforms available such as wordpress. Some are designed for visuals, some for marketing, some for blogging.
In general I recommend wordpress for beginner to advanced for most purposes. And I equally dis-recommend Wix for these same people and purposes.
For creating an online store it gets complicated. How big and how talented is your team for example?
There is a lot I like about Wix platform websites but only for ecommerce and then ONLY if you are talented or capable of just focusing on Wix and NOT using other platforms as well.
Like moving from a Mac world to the Android world, it is a different way of thinking through problems. I find Wix to be alien to most of my other experiences.
They also sport such fantastic features like NO free support even for premium users. Say what? That's right, NONE.
Or how about the shear inability to get into the html and paste your code?
Or help files which are too little and too often WRONG.
This platform is for those who have the time and desire to learn this alien platform, who already have enough experience to figure it out. But worth it if you still want to use it after accepting these realities.
