Shay froze to death in her short sleeve dress, in December, in a canyon. I drove home for an hour during a snow storm. But it was worth it! These turned out gorgeous! I had never been to this part of American Fork Canyon it was breathtakingly beautiful! The snow on the mountains, the fog, the pines, it was perfect! Shay and Preston looked amazing! Congrats you two!

Seven years ago, someone had the idea to make all the males in our family dress up like cowboys. My mom has a "girls room" in her house. Its has photos of all the females in our house when they were around one or two years old. I think she felt like the men were getting left out (I am certain they could have cared less.) She has a room downstairs that she is going to decorate in "western" decor. [ 108 more words ]

Oh I love these photos! These two are so cute together. They laughed and played at the park for 3 hours straight! We took these at Liberty Park in downtown Salt Lake City. I've been there many, many times recreationally. I hadn't ever thought to do photos there till I was looking for trees that still had leaves clinging. It ended up being such a great location. Congrats Sydney! She's a graduating senior and already has it all figured out. She's a CNA and headed to nursing college. Impressive girl! I feel like I'm still figuring my life out! We took these out at the Great Salt Lake with the gorgeous phragmites and salt beaches. Sydney had that rare ability to look towards the sun without squinting or tearing up. [ 48 more words ]

I love this beautiful woman so much! We were college roommates for a year and 15 years later it feels like we always pick up where we left off. I took her first maternity photos and she looks just as beautiful the second time around. I think I had gained 70 pounds with my first baby and only lost like 20 of it.

Oh these two are so cute together. Like I can just envision them as 80 years old and still in love and laughing at each other. My niece, Stephanie is one of my favorite people in the world. These are my two beautiful nieces. They each excel at their respective sport. My camera equipment is old and slow, so doing sport photography was a challenge. This is really an area where speedy equipment is key. The studio also offered really challenging lighting situations. One room had awful light and the other room had mirrors on every wall. I had to hide my lights, camera and me from the mirrors. [ 90 more words ]

This is one of my favorite locations. Thats one of the great things about living in small towns, there is lots of great scenery 5 minutes from my house. These little guys only last about 10 frames before they refuse to look at the camera. So I have get my best shots in the first 3 minutes or its all over. I LUCKED out on these.
