💌 A Note from Party Like Zelda

On the day I had a stroke, two PLZ orders were delivered -- including the "Mr. & Mrs. Savage" topper.
The day before that, I shipped out three more.

I didn’t know what was going on in my body at the time... but the work still got done. The toppers still showed up.
That’s not hustle. That’s grace.

Right now, I’m in rehab for the next 3 weeks -- getting the strength back in my right side and resting like God told me to. So PLZ is temporarily closed while I recover.

This business was built on beauty and boldness, but it’s sustained by faith. And I just want to say thank you -- for every like, every order, every prayer, and every tag. You’ve been part of what’s carried me.

Real Talk Moment (long post, but please read)

Yesterday, a new client messaged me saying she hadn't received her cake charm order. That had me scratching my head because I knew it had gone out.
I pull up the UPS receipt, loaded the tracking number ...
The order was shipped on April 30th and marked for delivery for Friday, May 2nd.

When the tracking information popped up on my computer, I screamed. Her package had been sitting in Atlanta.

Her graduation celebration was last night.

This is what makes last minute orders difficult because even if I ship early who knows what happens with the carriers. And according to the news, UPS may lay off 20,000 workers and close 70+ facilities.

My best advice is if you are placing an order is please give us as much cushion as you can. We want everything to arrive early, not just on time. On time is late.

Just something to consider when placing your order: Once your order is received and reviewed, we begin the design process. That takes a little time depending on the complexity. Then it moves to production and packaging—usually a full day depending on how many orders are ahead of yours. Then we ship. That's at least 3 business days.

And once it leaves us, we both are at the mercy of the carriers.

So please, give yourself and us some cushion.

Maddy’s Sweet 16 got the Candyland dreams are made of moment. Lollipops, cones, color for days… and a topper that twirled right into the party like “yes, I sparkle.”

Then came Roderick’s 70th—and baby, that topper did not come to whisper. It came to SLAY. Gold. Bold. Suited up with feathers and red flare. The only thing missing was a spotlight and theme music.
