County fair season is here in southeastern Indiana!

Summer in our communities means fair food, 4-H projects, livestock shows, grandstand events, hometown traditions and plenty of familiar faces.

SEI REMC is proud to be part of the local county fair season and looks forward to seeing members across our service area this summer.

Dearborn County Fair: June 21-26
Ohio County Fair: June 26-July 4
Switzerland County Fair: July 11-18
Franklin County Fair: July 12-18

County fairs are a special part of rural life, bringing together families, neighbors, students, volunteers, local businesses and community organizations. We’re grateful for the chance to support these traditions and connect with members throughout the season.

🚒 While these are popular events among kids and grownups alike, I feel it necessary to share that the name “Touch-A- Truck” is a registered trademark.

😮 Yes, "Touch-A-Truck" is a registered trademark (Registration #3416636) owned by the Las Vegas-based nonprofit Family to Family Connection. It is officially registered in the category of Education and Entertainment Services.

🤩 While the concept of letting kids climb on construction or emergency vehicles is not protected, the exact name is legally protected.Key details to know:

🤯 The Name: The phrase "Touch-A-Truck" cannot be used to promote or brand a public event without authorization from the trademark owners.

😊 Hosting an Event: The nonprofit allows other organizations and charities to host licensed events, but a licensing agreement or permission is required.
