If your Google Ads only run on certain days of the week, your bill may have gone up this year without you touching a thing.
Since June 1, Google paces those campaigns toward the full monthly limit: 30.4 times your daily budget, squeezed into the days you run. Google's own example: $100 a day, scheduled for 20 days, used to pace toward $2,000. Now it paces toward $3,040.
Your schedule still decides which days your ads run. It no longer decides what the month costs.
The fix is one line of arithmetic. Pick the monthly number, divide by 30.4.
