If your email campaigns aren't improving, you might be tracking the wrong things.

Here's what actually tells you what's going on:

• Opens → are people paying attention?
• Clicks → are they interested in what you're saying?
• Sales → is your offer doing its job?

Low clicks? Your content or messaging needs work. Low sales? Look at your offer or your landing page.

Let the numbers show you where your emails are working and where they’re not.

Save this for your next campaign audit!

“Thank you for subscribing” isn’t the most compelling message to get after signing up for an email list.

Your welcome email is your highest attention moment.

Subscribers just signed up. They’re paying the most attention right now.

Use this high-attention moment to

- show them what makes your brand worth it
- point them to your best sellers or an offer
- make the next step obvious

Don’t make them guess about the next step; guide them to it.

If your email list is just saying “hello” or “thank you," it's not saying enough.

Barely getting any email opens?

We bet your subject line isn’t pulling its weight.

Put yourself in a subscriber’s shoes:

• Is it relevant to you?
• Would you open it?
• Does it give you a reason to click?

If you said “no” to any of these, try writing subject lines that
- call out a real problem
- hint at what’s inside
- clearly show the benefit

Fix your subject line first, then see how your emails perform.

If your email campaign results aren’t improving, you could be looking at the wrong signals.

Open rates, list size, and quantity sent might look good, but sales say otherwise.

This is what shows true performance:

Clicks → Are people interested?
Conversions: Are they buying?
Revenue per email → Is it working?

Opens without clicks means your content needs improvement.

Clicks without sales mean your offer needs work.

Before you double down on what is working, start looking at what’s NOT working.

What’s the right balance of email frequency?

Emailing too much means people tune out. Open rates drop, clicks go down, unsubscribes go up.

Not emailing enough, and they forget you. Low engagement and even lower sales.

Here’s what works:

1. Start with 1–2 emails a week for a few weeks.
2. Send a mix of value and promo emails.
3. Stay consistent (same days/times if possible.)
4. Compare open rates, CTRs, and sales vs. the previous frequency.
5. Adjust your campaigns to what’s working.

Never guess about email frequency again!

Do you open an email that immediately wants to sell you something?

Of course not. Neither do your subscribers.

Too many promotions cause fatigue. Too few promotions and you’ll miss out on sales.

Create a mix of value emails (ones that solve problems, give helpful information, and build trust) and promotional emails (ones that drive sales).

Tips to use this mix:

-Use 2-3 value emails per 1 promotional email
-Track open rate, CTR, and conversions to see what people respond to
-Adjust the mix as you go (keep your subscribers on their toes!)

A value-first, promo-second email strategy keeps subscribers engaged while keeping that trust.

Generic emails are out.

Dynamic content blocks are in.

What dynamic content blocks can do is allow you to change parts of your email based on who’s reading it.

Use dynamic content blocks to show your subscribers:

→ Products related to something they already bought
→ Products they left in their cart
→ Pages they browsed on
→ Links they click in previous emails

This way, every subscriber sees something relevant to them. It’s the right message to the right person at the right time.

You just missed an opportunity to sell because your email bounced.

Even a small percent of bounces can add up and impact your revenue over time.

Bounces can be different too.

Hard bounce: wrong email, permanent failure

Soft bounce: temporary issue, like a full inbox

Here’s how to keep your email list clean and reach more inboxes:

• Remove hard bounces immediately
• Re-engage soft bounces carefully
• Verify new emails at signup (we recommend double opt-in!)

Every email counts—keep your list, and your online reputation, clean.

Emails never getting clicked? There’s a fix for that.

Actually, there are three fixes for that.

These three tips will help get your emails seen more and get more clicks:

1. Authenticate your emails.

Think of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC like your email’s driver’s license.
It prevents you from going to spam and shows that you're legitimate.

2. Don’t use spammy words.

Words like "FREE," "BUY NOW," and "ACT FAST" are big no-no’s.
Be conversational (“Your cart is waiting for you”) or give value (“The reason why everyone loves this new blush").

Remember that your subject line is the reason people will open your emails, so make it sound natural.

3. Be consistent.

Send at the same time, using the same frequency. It builds trust with your customers AND your email providers.

If you’re sending emails irregularly, it might look spammy or suspicious.

More clicks are heading your way!

Just ONE thing can make or break your sales.

Can you guess what it is?

Sales rely heavily on where your emails land in your subscribers' inboxes.

Emails in the Primary inbox get noticed.

Emails in Promotions? Well, they get ignored, a lot.

Email providers sort messages based on content. Words like “Sale” or “Free,” heavy images, GIFs, even repetitive discounts can trigger your emails to go to Promotions.

You can influence inbox placement by:

• Sending more text-focused, personalized content
• Avoiding “salesy” subject lines (no “We have a sale today!”)
• Asking subscribers to move emails to Primary

Emails in Promotions get fewer opens. Use these tips to make sure your emails easily reach the Primary inbox.
