The village motto is "happiness provides hope." For this week-long event, the children get to experience a few of the major holidays all packed into one week of smiles and laughter.

The quality of your life is based on the quality of your habits. You get what you repeat.

The win comes when you shift your perspective to future thinking and place more weight on your trajectory than your current outcome.

”I've been super invested in my daily habits, which has really helped with my personal development.

I found things that fill my time on a daily basis and allow me to show up as my best self. Working out, reading, journaling, and gratitude are some things that I practice on a regular basis.

Much of the development in my personal growth has also come from this role, though. Everyone in my peer group is so invested in becoming a better version of themselves and it inspires me. On the side of professional development, I’ve taken a complete 180 from when I started 2 years ago. 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.

I’ve learned to problem solve in so many different types of situations, which has made me become a more patient person. I’ve developed a culture within our office where I know I have an awesome team behind me that is getting the same opportunity I got when I started.

If you're reading this it's likely you're asking yourself, "what's it like to interview at Vector Marketing?". Or maybe even, "what's it like to work at Vector Marketing / Cutco?".

I mean, it sounds awesome to work from home, but what exactly does this position require?

Look at you asking intelligent questions.

First thing, congrats for doing research. We advise everyone to do their due diligence before checking out any work opportunity.

Know this. There comes a point in time where you have to listen to a few people's perspective, but you also have to ask yourself how credible their story is.

Did this person give it their best? Or did they make assumptions before giving it a shot?

That's for you to answer as you scour Google and YouTube, typing out "what's it like to work at Vector Marketing?" in all the places.

Something to consider. Selling Cutco is different. It's challenging, yet rewarding. It forces you to step out of your comfort zone - to develop skills that maybe you've never used before. Skills that many successful alumni say helped them take that next step in life.

Andrew Bosworth, VP of augmented reality at FB (Meta) sold Cutco for two summers while in college at Harvard - right before joining Zuckerberg's startup, "Facebook".

We could list example after example but would that help you make the decision of, "is selling Cutco for me?"

The answer = likely not. The only way to know is to give it a try.

You'll never know until you do.

And if you do try, will you give it your absolute best? Bringing your best is something you can apply in every area of life to stand out.

School. Sports. Or, yes even summer break work.

After all, if you're going to try something, why would you give anything less than your best? Can you even say you tried if you gave something half effort?

“Growing up, I always saw myself as average, at best, in most areas of my life - sports, friends, school.

My goal was to work hard in college and get a good job in something business related, but had no idea specifically what that job would be, so I kept an open mind.

Then I got a friendly text about working with Vector and decided to ‘try it out’ so that I could improve my people and business skills, as well as boost my resume.

I really leaned into what the experience had to offer by running interviews my first summer (which taught me professionalism). I learned work ethic by grinding through some 12-13 hour days. Coaching and learning how to inspire individuals on a team to build a culture that I was proud of. This taught me the power of influence.

Growing up I thought our life potential was based on the resources we had growing up- but that’s not true. Vector teaches that we can create our own resources & learn from others who are further along the learning curve in the beautiful game of life!

The work environment that Vector Marketing promotes may seem a little too good to be true. And if you’ve been burned by false promises before, there’s plenty of reason to be skeptical of a position that pays well and doesn’t require prior work experience.

Before you decide whether you’d like to give it a try, you have two choices: listen to people who haven’t done the job, or listen to people who have.

Our sales rep Delaina, for example, HAS tried working with Vector Marketing. As a full-time student, she found that the high flexibility was the perfect way to earn some money around her busy class schedule.

For some, it’s that first day at Jr high where you have to navigate to your classes by yourself. Or when you get behind the wheel of your very first car. The path towards gaining independence as a nation and as adults was and is scary. It takes courage to step out.

I remember the summer of 2007 vividly when my dad said - ‘you can go to college but you’ll have to figure out how to pay for it.’

How the heck does a 18 year old do that? Little did I know doing this thing many called me crazy for saying yes to; selling knives, helped me far more than paying my way through college.

It taught me that 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱.

I remember hearing stories of my great grandparents coming from Czechoslovakia (at the time) to America with nothing but the promise of independence. And from that desire, building a real estate empire in small town Louisiana.

Today, whether you say ‘America’ or ‘Merica’, know that we live in the best freaking country in this world. I’m thankful that I said yes to selling American made knives 17 years ago and taking a step out in courage.

College is not what I expected it to be. It came in peaks and valleys, at times it felt the valleys were longer than the peaks. I struggled, but nevertheless I pushed through.

I don’t think I could have completed college at the level I did without the Cutco Thru College Program. I originally went to school to be a therapist, but when I saw what Cutco could offer, I realized I was able to to exactly what I wanted by selling knives.

I knew that with the opportunity I had leaning into it hard was the only way for me. I decided to make that mental switch to give it everything I had. I made more money, got more experience, made people’s lives easier and felt more fulfilled when I committed to the bit.

It’s one of the reasons I was never a broke college student. I didn’t have to worry about not being able to afford textbooks, supplies, food, or fun activities.

The program is also how I’ve gotten to be so good at networking outside of a college setting. I have a lot more experiences to talk about when building rapport with professors or potential business partners.

Looking back, I also excelled in so many of my classes because of the work I did. Any business communication or public speaking class I had I didn’t get less than a 98 overall grade.

Human factors and psychology were extremely easy because those are most of the things you learn about as an assistant manager, and even more so if you went the path of a branch manager.

Sure, I had a few people make fun of me, but at the end of the day most people were more curious than anything else and were impressed with what I was able to accomplish.

If you’re confused about how Vector Marketing’s pay works, you’re not alone. Although it is somewhat untraditional compared to your typical summer job, fortunately, it’s not too complicated.

When most people see something like “$18/__,” they automatically assume it means “$18/hour.” But the way our representatives are paid works a little differently.

By the end of this video, you should know all the basics of Vector’s “per appointment” pay system.

Take it from one of our representatives, Devon Romero, who was curious how the pay worked before starting. He has some friends who tried out other sales jobs, where they took issue with how those companies conducted business. Devon went into the interview and found that he liked Vector’s way of doing things, which led to him sticking around and finding success.

Ever find yourself scared to try new things? Good news is you’re not alone. What if there was a way to turn that fear into a strength? Here’s some perspective …

“Before I started working at Cutco I wasn’t too confident with my interpersonal skills. There was always that deep down feeling of nervousness that washed over me whenever I would have to meet someone new. This ended up resulting in unneeded amounts of stress.

Vector has taught me great life habits to conquer those stressful moments. It was amazing to see how some of my weaknesses turned into my core strengths.

Now I am gradually taking bigger steps to get outside of my comfort zone. Some choices are going to be scary to do, but the feeling of accomplishment afterwards makes it worth it every time.

Most of the time when I am stepping into a new challenge, I usually ask myself “what is it that is holding me back or what am I most afraid of?” Almost every time it is simply the idea of not being good or failing at it. When you see that Vector Marketing offers flexible schedules, you might initially be a bit skeptical; and rightfully so! While many part-time jobs claim to offer total flexibility, there aren’t many that are truly “work when you want.”

Fortunately, Vector Marketing is one of the select few.

At Vector, our biggest hope for our sales representatives is that they get as much out of the experience as they want to. Whether someone is trying to work full-time or squeeze in a couple of appointments each week, they will receive total support and guidance from our team.

“Father’s Day is a day to celebrate an important part of our families and society. Good father’s are caretakers and protectors.

They are the ones that 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞.

Something I learned from my father was how to work and problem solve until the job was done. It’s shaped by who I’m am.

High school friends are often out of proximity. You’re in the same class. The same sports team. The same club.

After school, it’s more of a choice. It’s about shared values. Life trajectory.

We’re not here to tell you the right and wrong type of person. But we can tell you, who you choose to associate with can drastically influence the person you become.

“I was raised by great parents who were always about growth and becoming better, but Vector is where I really got exposed for the first time to the direct reflection personal growth could have on your income and life.

I have had multiple mentors, and coaches inside and outside of the business that have accelerated my progress in all the areas of my life important to me.

The first book my manager had me read was “How to Win Friends and Influence People” and it forever changed my perspective. Since then, I’ve chugged personal growth like water out of a firehose.

If you’ve never heard of Vector Marketing, you’re probably pretty surprised to have received a text from us out of the blue saying you've been recommended. Maybe you were recommended for the job by a good friend… or maybe the referral came from a classmate you haven’t talked to much in the past few years.
