It's a common misconception that you need a big budget to have a successful ad campaign on Facebook and Instagram.

Believe it or not, I often start fresh campaigns out at just $10/day.

Yup! That's it!

Starting small allows me to test different variables about the campaign, such as the ad images or video, ad copy (the text), audience, etc.

Once I find a winning combination, then I scale.

You can start out with just one ad set for $10/day and get results, and wait on the scaling step until you're generating revenue from the ad to cover an increased ad spend.

➕ BONUS TIP ➕
If you are looking to get exposure for your local organization with an Engagement or Awareness, you can actually get more reach for less than money than a lead generation or conversion campaign. ❤️

A few changes made the world of difference on this profile aesthetic!

I think my favorite part is the highlight covers. 😏

What do you think of the difference? Yay or nay??

"Why don't I have the same respect for my own time?!" Keep reading 👇

Yesterday I had the opportunity to record my testimony at a local Christian radio station here in the St.Louis area. It was so surreal, and such an honor, because the station has played a pivotal part in my journey.

And I got an unexpected lesson while doing it...

____________________

Since the station is 99.1, they do 99 second testimonies.

If I were to record 99 seconds at home, it would probably take me an hour or two, if I'm being honest.

I would likely
☑️ obsess over every minor detail
☑️ have dozens of takes
☑️ & spend oodles of time editing it until its PERFECT

Anyone relate?? 🙋‍♀️

Well- that is totally not what happened yesterday. I was done in less than 15 minutes! 🤯

The key differences were:
✅ I jotted down what I wanted to say before I ever got to the studio (I normally just wing it... I'm that kinda girl 😜)

✅ No wasting time, I just DID IT
(so no time to get in my own head before hand)

✅ No second take (it wasn't perfect, but I didn't want to be a pain in the butt, so I just accepted the minor "flaws")

They said it sounded great, so I just went with it. I really wanted to be respectful of their time. There was no overthinking, over analyzing, or second-guessing every little detail.

I couldn't believe how much easier it was!

____________________

My big lesson:

⭐Respect your time enough to be okay with "done" instead of insisting on "perfect".⭐

That doesn't mean we get sloppy... But we aren't doing anyone any favors by spending 45 minutes trying to get a text color just right when nobody else is even going to notice. Know what I mean?

❔Do you need to implement this lesson in your own content creation?
❔What have been YOUR game-changing revelations about making content?

"Check out this cotton candy sunset."
Not words you'd expect from a 13 y/o boy, right?

I'm so glad my son noticed it, though, because I would have completely missed it. I was focused on cleaning up after dinner and wrangling kids.

It's nice to have someone else by your side, doing life, that can notice the things we may not see.

I love when I get to do this for my clients!!

Looking at the world through the creative marketing lense, I see beauty in their work that they may have missed!

Sometimes it's something they've said that really resonates, or a story they've told, or an idea...

They've probably heard me say countless times, "You've got to share that! THAT is something people need to hear."

It's such a privilege to walk in the journey with my clients...

❤️ to hear their heart,
🌅 to point out those 'cotton candy sunsets',
🌍 and help them find a way to share it with the world!

What about you? Do you have someone supporting you, helping you see the hidden beauty in your work?

If not, shoot me a DM! Let's chat. I'd love to help you ❤️

I was in a very lonely place. I felt isolated.

Long-time coworkers often become friends, and I missed my people. But I'd made the decision to start out on my own, working from home so that I could be with my infant daughter.

This is after moving, and after switching churches...

As my daughter grew, I ventured out into the world as an entrepreneur for the first time. I found myself networking with large groups of strangers.

It was then I realized how much I was craving close friendships.

So I prayed.

I asked God to send me friends. People who loved Him, that would be iron to my iron, that I could do life with.

Over the next year, the Lord orchestrated divine connections, and brought some amazing women of God into my life, including both of these two pictured here!

I'm so grateful for the friendships that have blossomed, and the way the Lord has answered my prayer. You ladies were the desire of my heart! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you, Lord, for these beautiful friends!

My husband is a man of many talents, one of which is baking. He makes the most incredible almond cupcakes I've ever had! 🧁

At our wedding, though, the cake we cut was not one of his confectionary creations. It was made by a friend of ours (who did a phenomenal job!)

Dan knew that if he had tried to bake our wedding cake himself that the time commitment would have taken away from his ability to enjoy our special day.

He delegated the task so that he could focus on what was most important.

It was the 2nd best choice he made that day (after marrying me, of course 😜)!

Are you focusing on what's important?

Social media is an area many fail to delegate when they should.

Sometimes it's because they're afraid to give up the control. Sometimes it's because they would rather DIY their ads and posts than hire a pro.

Whatever the reason, I talk to people every day who have lost precious, valuable time doing their social marketing when it could have been delegated.

Don't be afraid to outsource! Get your time back, and focus on doing what you love.

Who here had to do rebus puzzles in school?? 🙋‍♀️

I LOVED them! It was such a fun way to exercise those 🧠 muscles.

We've all probably seen the easy ones...

I love spring time here in Missouri. It's both beautiful and unpredictable.

Rolling fields of these purple flowers catch my eye every year. Before the weather has made up it's mind to leave the winter cold behind, these little beauties grace the fields for miles.

It's gorgeous!

Each Spring, I may not know if the last snow will fall in February or May. I may not know if it will rain enough to flood my basement. But I know these little people flowers are coming.

So it is with marketing. Every campaign may be different. Some may get results quickly, some may be a slow progress, they aren't always predictable...

But- I can trust that those purple flowers are coming.

Those beautiful results are out there. It's just a matter of finding the right field!

My girls recently took an interest in helping me shoot brand pictures for social media.

They've been practicing finding objects and that fit my brand's colors and snapping cool photos.

I'm impressed at how well they've been doing! These pictures were all taken by them!

You know, YOU can do this too... really!

Keep an eye out for everyday objects, places, or scenery that feature a color (or colors) from your brand.

Take those opportunities to snap your own pics. It's easy enough your kids can do it 😜

So long Facebook Analytics! If you've been using this tool, prepare to part ways by June 30th of this year.

This change is likely due to the new iOS 14 regulations rolling out soon. It's easier to nix these tools than make them compliant.

Are you ready for this change? 🤔

Fortunately, there will still be valuable insights in the Business Manager. Paired with your own website analytics, you should be able to get a clear picture of your advertising's efficacy.

Have questions?

Feel free to shoot me a DM. Let's get you ready!

Is your marketing focused on telling people all the reasons they should choose you?

"We can do all the things! We're #1!"

In sales, we call this "feature selling", and it is surprisingly common.

But, just because it's common doesn't mean it's effective.

There is a better way, and Jesus gave us the blueprint.

In Mark chapter nine, Jesus and his disciples were walking from Capernum. His disciples were arguing about who was the greatest among them.

In Mark 9:35, Jesus sat them all down and said: “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last and servant of all.”

Paul explains this further in his letter to the Philippians, encouraging them to be humble and follow the example of Jesus.

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others." (Philippians 2:3‭-‬4)

This is the very mindset we should have as we approach our social media and marketing.

When we speak to the needs of our audience and focus on what's in it for them, our message will be meaningful and impactful.

That is "benefit selling".

It's not about us, it's not about all the features. It's about the benefits. It's about THEM.
