When I was in college, I told my grandma I was going to start my own business. She told me that starting a business was something that most people did after getting decades of experience working for someone else. My response? "Grandma, when have you ever know me to do things like 'most people?'" She's a sweet lady and took the joke, but she knew I was right. I wanted something different from my work, so I did something different. So far, it's been a very rewarding experience!
