One of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten is...

"Google them and call." 😂 I know, this sounds hilariously simple! In fact, my husband and I have made it a staple jokey saying around our house.

So, the story of "Google them and call": I think its quite obvious that I like performing. I am from New Orleans and have been going to parades ever since I could stand. I have always always loved them so much.

In a Mardi Gras parade there are a few elements: the floats, the bands and the throws just to name a few. There are also various themed walking/dance krewes.

I would love it when the dance krewes would walk by in their amazing outfits. They looked like they were having so much fun! I remember watching sashay on by and I turned to my mom and said "Oh this one is my favorite. I bet you have to know someone or something to join." *sigh*

After that Mardi Gras season I threw up a status on Facebook and asking if anyone I knew was currently in a walking Krewe. A long time friend and seasoned Mardi Gras enthusiast commented "Google them and call".

You can tell what happened next, I Googled, I called, I got the info, I tried out, and guess what- I got to spend my last year in New Orleans as a mermaid.

Like I said, I have been to many a parade, but being IN the parades was an experience I'll never forget. So thank you Ms. Laura for the simple advice. ✨

It's Friday so...red or white?
I don't do red when it isn't cold outside. However I did get to put on a jacket as there was a slight breeze in the air. ALSO Southern Brewing & Winery speaks my language because they have red wine slushies! Perfect for "fall" in Tampa!

Our account manager Bradly is smiling because INSTA LIKES ARE GOING AWAY! 👍♥️
This has been the word on the street for quite some time and we're actually thrilled. Obsessing over likes has gotten out of control. I'm an old lady, but can you imagine growing up in today's world where likes= status? Ew.
Having a community and a real following of people who are invested in your brand and rooting for YOU beats "likes" any day of the week.
Besides, saves, DM's and comments are where its at anyway.
