One of the things I love about video production is the work that goes into just a few seconds of footage and the unique opportunities it provides me.
This morning started at 5:15am.
Gear packed. ATV engine revved. Cameras ready. A very specific shot in mind.
The plan was to capture the sunrise over Porter County.
The clouds had other plans.
After all the preparation, the shot simply wasn’t there.
So tomorrow morning, I’ll get up and do it again.
Most people only see the finished video. They don’t see the early mornings, the waiting, the missed shots, or the times you have to come back and try again.
But that’s part of telling a great story.
Sometimes you know exactly what the story needs.
You just have to be willing to keep showing up until you get it.
