Casting Call: I'm creating a short film with Chris Berger and seeking actors and people wanting to help make a movie. Filming dates tbd. FILM SYNOPSIS: How far would you go to save someone you love? Would you be like Stanley and make a deal with The Organization and then refuse your part of the bargain? The rejection forces his partner and best friend in crime, Deacon, to inherit the debt before he even knows who it is he has to remove. Being an enforcer in New York’s underworld doesn’t mean you’re immune to knowing where to draw the line, but when the Don unveils the details attached to the debt, Deacon is faced with the same dilemma: To do the job or run.
CHARACTER LIST WITH DESCRIPTION:
DEACON (30s-40s), CAUCASIAN MALE: Main character; a no-nonsense enforcer for The Organization. Forced to inherit the debt that Stanley refuses. He can be cocky and mean during business hours, but also runs by his own code of right and wrong.
STANLEY (30s-40s), ANY RACE, MALE: Deacon’s partner and best friend; refuses to carry out the bargain struck with The Organization. No lines, but very expressive with his face.
ASSOCIATE (30s-50s), ANY RACE, MALE: Works for Don Luzierri. He’s rough and is rarely known to smile.
DON LUZIERRI (50s-70s), CAUCASIAN, MALE: A leader in one of the seven families that work strictly under The Organization. He is charming and a lover of the finer things in life, but can be mean when pushed. Luzierri is a good businessman and worked his way up the ranks by being smart and cunning.
SOPHIA (20s-30s), ANY RACE, FEMALE: A beautiful woman who is more like arm candy for Don Luzierri than an employee. She has no lines, but walks with grace and loves style.
MR. CRAYCE, AKA STRANGE MAN (40s-60s), ANY RACE, MALE: The main assistant to the top boss in The Organization. As a player in the underworld game for many years, he’s very charming, a smooth talker and a master of tact and timing with his words.
UNDERWORLD BOSS (50s-60s), CAUCASIAN, MALE: Very mysterious and has only one line. Most of his body will not be seen to build suspense.
**PRODUCER’S NOTE:** There is no foul language, nudity or excessive violence in this production. Filming days will be a family-friendly event.
