Last November, I won a silent auction at Camp Courant’s annual fundraiser, Buddy Bash! It was a tour of the Fox 61 studios and lunch with Jimmy Altman and Matt Scott. These two can entertain anyone! It was worth every penny.

Camp Courant is Hartford’s oldest and largest free summer camp for Hartford children. Buddy Bash is a themed event with the best local restaurants and beverage vendors giving you free samples of their product, a rolodex of people to network with, and the most creative decor. Going just to see the themed outfits is worth it. 🦸🏽‍♀️

September 25th, 300+ Connecticut leaders, elected officials, and community members come together so 750 Hartford’s kids get a free summer of programming and meals. ☀️☀️

Heroes Start Here is the theme for this year! 🦸🏾🦸🏼‍♂️

We need your help, we’re looking for…
Silent auction experiences- if people can’t just google and buy it, we want it. 😍

Restaurants and beverage vendors to give out samples to the community for free and run their booth 🌮🍷

And corporate sponsors 💰💰💰

In exchange you’ll receive advertising benefits and support a great cause. Dm me for more information or purchase your ticket to attend today!

I had the privilege to sit down with Sean Crane today and I’m still processing everything he shared.

Sean has worked with National Geographic, National Parks and Wildlife Service, the National Football League (NFL), and some of the most recognizable campaigns in the industry. What struck me most was how grounded his approach is. It’s not about reinventing a brand from scratch. It’s about finding the equity that’s already there and letting go of what no longer serves it.

We talked creative process, tagline writing, what makes a commercial land, and how sensibility drives strategy more than most people realize. He shared how creative teams and the industry itself have shifted over the years, and what it actually takes to lead and manage creatives well. Then of course, we ended up deep in a conversation about travel, national parks, and wildlife, because when you’ve worked with National Geographic and lead wildlife tours, that perspective follows you everywhere.

The best conversations leave you thinking differently. This was one of them.

Meet Zoe, our newest intern! She’s a Farmington High School student with her sights set on business and administration with a marketing minor, and she’s already showing up like a pro.

She co-presidents her school’s LatinX Culture Club, competes on the track, and performs in Honor Band as a flutist. She’s also a member of Future Business Leaders of America, a twin, and someone whose favorite film is The Devil Wears Prada. Welcome, Zoe!

This morning was refreshing! Allie from invited me to the Women’s Business Development Council’s “Risky Business: From Risk to Reinvention” event.

The panelist spoke about times in their business they had to make hard decisions, take risks, and how to keep moving forward with courage + vision.

Rory Gale from and Paddi LeShane from shared that it’s important when to say NO.

Jeanette Lopez from talked about changing her industry and creating impactful careers for her employees.

Lelaneia Dubay from talked about figuring out what you want most from life and taking bold steps daily towards that.

Rose Bove from talked about learning when to pivot and building strong connections with your clients.

Thank you Allie for bringing this event to my radar! . It was great seeing some familiar faces from the and .

The AI character trend is back! It’s the perfect way for me to introduce myself to those of you who are new to my page 👋🏼

My name is Evelyn and I am a marketing specialist based in Bristol, Connecticut. I have two large brands in my backyard and that are always inspiring me. Watching how these giants maintain their status makes me want to talk about the psychology of human perception and why it is the most critical lever for business growth.

Marketing encompasses the entire architecture of perception and the psychology of how your business exists in the minds of others. It is the silent promise of your brand and the deliberate removal of friction from every touchpoint of the customer journey. To master this journey we have to understand the constant tension between intuition and analysis.

If we look at Daniel Kahneman’s dual process theory which divides our thinking into System 1 (fast and emotional) and System 2 (slow and logical). These systems dictate how your customers make choices from daily impulse buys to high end investments. When we combine this with Gestalt principles, using visual harmony and patterns to create an intuitive sense of “rightness,” we are essentially training the brain to trust the brand before the logical mind even starts to calculate the cost.

Most business owners are held back because they focus entirely on logical arguments while ignoring the subconscious cues that drive first impressions. If you do not win System 1 you will never get the chance to speak to System 2. True growth happens when you stop trying to explain your value and start architecting a perception where that value is felt instantly.

When you look at your brand are you giving people a reason to think or an environment that allows them to decide?

What is one part of your customer’s journey that currently feels like it has too much friction?

We worked with 20+ clients and celebrated their wins while contributing to their growth.

Traveled to FL, RI, PA, SC, and NH.
Covered three weddings.
Completed my first senior portrait photoshoot.
Ran my first payroll with two interns.
Started a new role with the Central CT Chambers.
Celebrated two siblings graduating high school.
Attended over 50 networking events.
Presented to CCSU CMA Marketing students.
Hosted a Marketing Madness workshop with FVYP.
Volunteered with West End Association, Alzheimer’s Association, CT Foodshare, CAFAF, and CCARC.
Paid off one of my student loans.
Shared my mental health story with Let’s Face It.
Was a podcast guest for CT Paid Leave.
Rebranded my website.

Lessons Learned ✨
Go at God’s pace over my own.
Never forget your worth.
You can make all the money in the world but it’s nothing without peace of mind and health. Hustle but work smarter. The results and clarity your clients feel is what matters most. Do not rush to get more, retain what you have, and do it even better.

Looking Ahead
2026 will be my year of creating more than I consume, practicing discipline, embracing a mindset of less is more, and increasing speed without burnout.

Comment below and share your biggest wins or lessons from 2025. 💬
